Not really. They're just body shells. Rolls Royce & Bentley is about chassis & drivetrain, not coachwork.
IMO coachwork is very much a part of old Bentleys and Rollers.
Post war, then yes, I suppose so. But on the older cars, RR&B never did bodys or coachwork. A client would order a chassis, and then send it off for coachwork. Many of the bodys on offer from the major coachbuilders back in the day could also be had on other chassis too. Although there were exclusive styles for RR&B from preferred and approved coachbuilders.

But, a Mulliner 2dr FHC style number ABC123 might be seen on a Derby, but also maybe on a Lagonda or an Alvis. Off the chassis, it's just a body.

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. It was at SEMA a couple of years back. However, that one is obviously more show than go, wheras the one in the OP is a proper drag car.

Love these kinds of conversions; must make the concours RR enthusiasts have nightmares!
1300hp so there should be plenty of go to accompany the show smile

Yes, but I bet it'll never be driven more than onto the trailer and off again for static displays.

With that fancy leather interior, sound system, TVs and upholstered (!) fuel cell, you can't really compare it to a proper drag car.

I like it, even if only a very small number of parts started out in Crewe . . . . . . . on the plus side, its got less glassfibre and filler in the bodywork than mine hehe

This is a post war one though...

It's also based on a monocoque Silver Shedow . . . . . yet has a custom tube chassis with what looks like GRP bodywork smile

Just to make a point; Rolls Royce have used Chevrolet V8s in the past.
In what, their delivery trucks?
I know they've used GM transmissions, what engines have they used?
Traditionaly, Rolls Royce designed and built engines (with some BMW in the past decade or so)

Can you still here the clock ticking at 60 mph?

Now the electric clock is drowned out by the noise of paint being hurled at the windows of your RR by anti-capitalist protesters...
