Someone on the Classic Cars & Yesterday's Heroes forum once posted up a Bugatti Atalante they found in a supermarket car park in Leeds.
There was a Type 35 Bugatti parked outside the pet shop in Saffron Walden last week. People were just walking past not paying much attention.

I've spoken to the owner in the past, he has two of them in his garage and they're real.

If you think about it, the guy who has the two ferraris has picked to live in a cheap house and have two really really really expensive cars rather than have a cheaper car but a far better house. I can't say it would be my choice, even for an F40.

To be fair, looking at the angle the photo's been taken at, that house could actually be quite big and luxurious, and the garden to the rear looks quite large and leafy - it's only the scruffiness of the garages that suggests it's down-at-heel. It may well be a clever charade - those garage doors could be concealing a more 'appropriate' garage for a Testarossa and an F40, but look like that on the outside to put off potential thieves. After all, nothing says 'lots of things worth nicking here' like a pair of massive monogrammed electric gates.

And what about the location - a house like that in certain parts of London or Manchester would cost a fair amount no matter how modest it looks.

great thread! amazing how little attention people pay to hugely expensive cars in seemingly rubbish areas.

also shows that people with serious money dont see their car as an expensive machine that needs to be looked after at all times. theres a guy in watford with a Gallardo spider who ive seen pulling out of B&Q carpark with the roof down and some 3m lengths of 2x2 poking out of the top. if money is no problem then why not use your current car for whatever needs doing.

guy who lives in a modest very suburban 3 bed semi-detached near me has a lovely immaculate looking red F355 (definitely not an MR2) on the driveway..reckon his wife has probably left him by now..

A bloke that lived near me had a red 355, but only has a 2 up 2 down cottage. He didn't even have proper off street parking so it sat on his grass. It was later repalced with a porsche of similar value.

I live in an "up and coming" area of town, in an end terrace. My neighbours have a Rover 214, a Corsa B and a Fiesta Mk 3. I do feel a bit of a target having an Elise on my drive, even if it is old.

Similarly, not far from where my parents live is a bloke with a very ordinary, fairly small suburban 1960s semi - and an Aston Martin DB6 in the garage.

Sadly no photo as I was driving at the time- but saw a Porsche 959 exiting the car park at Ikea. Only in Switzerland!

About 2 years ago I saw an Enzo parked outside a Vietnamese restaurant on Deptford High Street. Those of you who know Deptford High Street will know it is about the last place you would park an Enzo. To be fair it was attracting all the right kind of attention from the local rude boys, all posing for photos etc. I think if someone would have tried to key it they would have been shanked on principle. It was nice to see the appreciation TBH.

Many moons ago in Val'dIsere in the last week of the skiing season we were waiting at the bus stop when an F40 pulled up at the pattisere.

Bloke got out ,went in and came back with his bait.

To be fair it was quite warm and the roads were dry.
