RE: TVR: Back in business (there's even a website)

Good god, check this out, the "dealer and parts network" which is linked from the site.
http://tvr-multipart.com/dealers.html
So when was that updated last.....2004?
Pathetic.

I wonder where TVR would be now if it had put LS small block V8s in from the start instead of its own striaght six?
It may be a moot point now, but as far as I'm aware, reliability issues to that point were mainly niggly type stuff, rather than major?
All the serious complaints I've heard stem from the speed six engine.

Why would you want some Russian tosser using Austrian labour to restore a car for you when their are so many loyal specialists, ex franchised dealers and ex factory lads in the UK who can do it to a more original standard and cheaper??
plus someone needs to tell the trotski that TVR's are actually simple enough to restore yourself at a fraction of the cost.
Lets not rise to anymore of the numpty's false claims and just carry on enjoying all of our existing Pre-Smellenski TVR's into the future..
Many many people enjoy all makes of Classic car whos factories aren't around anymore...TVR is now just a very desirable classic car in my book..And all the better for it.
TVR a very British and Blackpool built car!!

The website says they will make you a new Cerbera if you ask them..... where do I sign....
I'm not sure you're allowed to sign for yourself, even if you're a health professional. I think it takes two independent doctors and a close relative or suitably qualified mental health worker, or something like that.

But on the website i read that they are building new ones also!!!
Griffith to Sagaris
Oh well, if it's written on their website then it *must* be true. It's not like they have a history of announcing total fantasy or anything. Griffith to Sagaris
The new ones are going to use fairy dust for powder-coating the chassis and outriggers too.
You know what's a crying shame, apart from TVR being in limbo, is that they're not building new cars in Blighty. Why? Well, going from the comments on here each time TVR is brought up, each one of us is ready to put down a deposit on a brand new TVR. Smolenski has missed out on millions of pounds worth of orders.
As I said, such a crying shame.
