I erm, <ahem>, may or may not know someone who drove from Wing in Buckinghamshire to an undisclosed location in Fife, (which is allegedly 400 miles on the nose), in four hours dead having had to stop twice for fuel.

I'm reliably informed that said person won't be trying to 'better' that.
Some, er, idiot went from Leipzig to the Rotterdam area (719 km) in 4h45' in a Cooper S Works. As this was in 2004 and as such it was the old supercharged version, allegedly this necessitated 3 fuel stops to complete the distance. redface

Totally agree but still don't understand the references to the Rendevous videos in Alex's book, was it just a spin? That book actually cost me £9000, and since reading it four years ago have still got the 2001 Lemans blue M5 in the driveway.

John if you read this again, what's the story behind the Hawaian Tropic and coppertone? Watching the film it looks to be sponsored by Hawaian Tropic once you notice it, but the book says the Lamborghini is owned by the Coppertone chap?
Now sitting watching the movie, enjoying it even more since the book. Boring the hell out of my other half pointing out references to the original characters. smile

The Hawaian Tropic idiot bought the car from Terry Bernius during the shooting of the movie. While it was nice having the eye candy/ pit poppies around, it was sad ot see the Lambo turned into a display for poseiers instead of it running hard and fast as the gods had intended.
