Going on aesthetics alone I find that body kit horrendous, give me the Hennessy Venom over this any day.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion just keep it to yourself next time...

It is not a body kit..

Pretty certain it didn't look like that from the factory.

No, as I recall it was custom made and very elaborately so - though of course being as the owner has posted in this thread...

Personally I'm not sure what you hate so strongly - it's just got some wider arches and had the smaller headlight units removed.

Cracking car, Ronin. thumbup
(though I preferred the old wheels)

Never said I hate it, infact I quite like it however think a darker colour and better wheels would be a massive improvement. Technicslly it sort of is a body kit, but it is the actual clamshell which has been replaced rather than some bumpers and sideskirts

Sorry, the car's clearly your pride and joy and I apologise for the offence caused. I guess we all have different tastes - life would be dull if we all liked the same stuff and I'd be happy with an Exige with a third of that power and skinnier wheels but that's me.

There were, I admit, much more appropriate cars down there that I could have used to illustrate the same point and that was just the picture I happened to choose. Hands up!

Nice car, iffy colour, downright rude owner. Paints the forum in a good light...

Seems like we're in trouble though, you're not allowed to dislike it unless you've built your own car too.

I do however like the way the guy in the photo is using the rear spoiler for doing his paperwork, particularly handy...

If you can use the wing as a table, it is over the top.

Thing you have to remember is that most American forums are back-slapping congratulatory type positive thinkers because they appreciate everybody's cars and don't seem to feel the need to comment in a negative way.

Trouble is, this is a UK forum and it's what people do for good or bad.

My first comment was very tongue in cheek, mainly commented due to Ronin's venom towards the Venom.

No, the thing is on most real car forums the guys modify their cars and trade ideas to help each other out. Not slag off a guys car because they don't know st about it......If you don't like the wheel color I've got three other sets to choose from...smile

Dan if you are still in town after the show closes I'd like to take you for a ride in my little rocket pig and then you can write/say anything you like and I'll keep my mouth shut.....
To say you would rather have a sedate somewhat stock Exige is rather narrow minded because you have never been in a Lotus that can do what this Lotus can do.. This car is purpose built to do one thing only ...drive.. This isn't some Hennessey bullst this is the real deal for the real world... You have never been in another car that can do what this little rocket pig can do..... I know I haven't and I've own and driven the crap out of cars from the likes of the Mura SV to a 900HP RS 200E Group B Rally X car....

So Dan if you are still in town pick up a pair of pampers and I'll take you for a little canyon cruise, I wouldn't want you to soil my spartan interior.wavey

Then we can toss back a few and celerbrate Evacuation Day.....whistle

Ronin - the land that taste forgot indeed mate. However you're only American so you're forgiven for making what I'm sure is a cracking car to drive, encased in a ridiculous body smile

If you had kept the car looking standard then it would be amazing.

How on earth can 5,000 cookie cutter Lotus be amazing ?
How can any real car guy say they wouldn't more power in a car that can handle it with a few modifications ?

I don't remember anyone slaging off the winning GT3 Exige because it had wheel arches to cover the tires needed to put the power down...

Oh well you guys can stick with your video games, I'll drive my car in the twisties as soon as the show is over....
