No, the thing is on most real car forums the guys modify their cars and trade ideas to help each other out. Not slag off a guys car because they don't know st about it......
I've been "following" you ever since you started doing the mods on your car, and honestly... some of the things you've done to it are far beyond what I would ever do to a car. But hey, each to his own, you obviously like your Lotus looking like a Ferrari with the single tail lights (given the recent developments of the Ferrari management moving in, I can only say you may have been "avant garde" LOL), you obviously like wider bodies and have a more "in your face" attitude than most of us do...Mechanically I do believe you're as mad as me, twincharging the engine and things like that, and you have my respect for pushing the boundaries like that, but the bodykit (yes, I know you're saying it's not a "bodykit", but how else would you call a souped up clamshell?)... Big let down for me personally, and I honestly wonder if all of these mods are genuinely proven on the aerodynamic front...
But in the end, it's YOUR car, you do with it what you want. Some will like it, some won't, and as long as YOU enjoy it... take the comments and learn to live with it. I'm sure you're a good sport as a person, but everyone has different taste. I can guarantee you that even with the Tuscan I get both positive and negative remarks for putting a supercharged engine in it, let alone on the styling of the car (which I have kept original).
Bud, we've not raped your dog or anything, calm down a bit. A few of us has stated we're not keen on the aesthetic side of it, myself included(and I love low wide cars!), you kick off and try to one up everyone. Some people hate my car, I don't swear at them and kick the toys out the pram. I say 'oh well, I like it!' and move on.

Anyway.................
Pity we don't have some decent cop cars like this over here. I'd much prefer to see a bunch of these tail-sliding through Slough council estates chasing after some pimped up Corsa
There would be no shortage of people looking to join the force then Pity we don't have some decent cop cars like this over here. I'd much prefer to see a bunch of these tail-sliding through Slough council estates chasing after some pimped up Corsa

Dan if you are still in town after the show closes I'd like to take you for a ride in my little rocket pig and then you can write/say anything you like and I'll keep my mouth shut.....
To say you would rather have a sedate somewhat stock Exige is rather narrow minded because you have never been in a Lotus that can do what this Lotus can do.. This car is purpose built to do one thing only ...drive.. This isn't some Hennessey bullst this is the real deal for the real world... You have never been in another car that can do what this little rocket pig can do..... I know I haven't and I've own and driven the crap out of cars from the likes of the Mura SV to a 900HP RS 200E Group B Rally X car....
So Dan if you are still in town pick up a pair of pampers and I'll take you for a little canyon cruise, I wouldn't want you to soil my spartan interior.
Then we can toss back a few and celerbrate Evacuation Day.....
Nice modded Lotus although I do tend to agree with the general opinions on here that the bodywork mods and colour do cheapen the look and are rather over the top.Dan if you are still in town after the show closes I'd like to take you for a ride in my little rocket pig and then you can write/say anything you like and I'll keep my mouth shut.....

Keeping it looking more standard and looking less like a wreck involving Autozone and some superglue is the classy way to mod a car, i.e. only what's mechanically necessary to accommodate the revised performance level.
What twits making comments here it's funny, everything on the car is used on the curent Lotus being raced ....Maybe you should reread since this is the most powerful Lotus on the road at 680 whp / 750 bhp everything on this car is there for a reason.duhh
I guess she says it all....

Anyway, moving aside from 'Lotus-Gate' (Which personally I think is madder than a crack smoking morris dancer with one of his bells missing! - and I love it!), the Dodge's look good as ever.
With all this hi-tech, there is something refreshingly honest about a RWD muscle car with a well developed V8 under the bonnet. Oddly for a guy who's dealt with technology most of his life, I seem to be drawn to the simplicity of these brutes. (Maybe my TVR has rubbed off on me!)
On a different tack, the Scion looks strangely appealing. If it's competing in the TT/370z market, I would guess that'll be a stylish, relatively cheap (mpg) and reliable way to drive to the shops.

I like the Lotus but think it could be a little bit better IMO.
The wheels need to go for something more motorsporty.
The rear wheel arch needs a bigger rear cam and less protruding arches. This will stop it looking like a body kit.
The gray needs to go for something more colourful. The Grey is for a more subtle car me thinks.
The car needs a new owner. Someone who's a little less, well rude!
