These are the guys who were selling the E36 versions (at one point they had a coupe, cab and estate as I recall...). Some nice cars on their site.

Excellent shed. Must try a W124 at some point.
My father had one of these - a 300TE-24v, 1990 on a G. It was the demo from Caffyns Mercedes in Dorchester. Astral silver with black leather, sportline suspension and all the toys, air con, elec / memory heated seats, Becker Mexico, cruise, the works. It was amazing and we saw an indicated 145 on an Autoroute in France (when mum was dozing in the back with my sister and me egging dad on....!) with a ton of luggage in the boot and still some to go. This was over 20 years ago in a family estate.
He replaced it with a W126 420SE which was regal (and totally outclassed by the opposition by then it had to be said) but a fantastic experience to be in. It much more suited my father but it was the 300TE hot rod that stands out - it was a country mile ahead of anything else on sale at the time.

Like the E500 and E36 saloons too. Some of them are a bit pricey though...
I managed to pick up a 300TE-24v with 9month MOT and TAX and a full tank of fuel for £320 about this time last year.
Great for sideways fun in the snow.
Just a shame I only managed about 150 miles from a full tank else I would have kept it.
Ended up breaking it for spares and netting a four figure sum in return - very profitable motoring in my book - exactly how shedding should be!

Looks a bit tatty and probably needs a ridiculous amount of money in parts etc but it's AWD.
