Great spec but how much is the sat nav going to be? An essential these days.
The Nav upgrade on the Toyota 'touch' system is £500

You clearly don't drive a lot.

Sat-Nav has traffic info and alternative routes and an estimated time of arrival. Without that my life would be a great deal harder.

how so?

don't see the point in heavy intergrated units, if i need an alternative route my phone is good enough.

I believe the 'heavy integrated unit' will be there anyway as touchscreen audio.. Your basically just getting a model up in the audio system that does satnav too.
It's a nice system.. Linked to your phone so when out and about can even just search local restaurants and can dial on the go etc. It's the same system as in the new Yaris I believe .. It is good and worth the 500 upgrade.

Its never worth £500 its some way off what the average phone did 3 years ago & your typical phone these days surpasses it. Now if they could intergrate your phone into a hole in the dash maybe.

The Toyota sales managers had their annual sales conference at the NEC yesterday, and were told the GT86 would start around £25K. The official launch is June, with approx 1500 cars for the UK in 2011.
If that is with a reasonable basic spec then they will sell well. If it is £25K for a paupers spec then in my opinion it is still a tad high as you will likely end up paying £28K anyhow.

Given the limited numbers Toyota is planning to sell, suggestions that they won't "sell well" unless piled high and sold cheap are fairly irrelevant, I think. I reckon they'll sell as many as they plan to without having to give them away, initially at least.
