Exactly. How did someone who was obviously making beer scrape the crap out and think to himself/herself "do you know what this will be delicious/disgusting on toast"?

I recon it must have been a prank. Someone scraped some of the crap left behind from making beer, spiked the boss's lunch with it and they had a good instead of gag reaction.
