I was glad to see the back of mine quite frankly. Door strakes cracking through, alternator failure at 1,500 miles (and the day I was off to Le Mans to boot) leaks from door seals, wind noise due to door mirrors moving on those plastic triangles due to wind pressure and creating a howl, a gearbox that when cold has only three available gears until it warms up etc. etc. etc. Never again, even if someone gives me deeply rose-tinted glasses.

Love it! i wouldnt worry about it not being too "pure" for some, i think adding little bits to make a car "yours" is one of the better parts of car ownership.
I go with the purist route as I have on my car, however, none of the mods he's done are irreversible, the car could easily be returned to original.

Great article, thanks for the effort.
