One of the most fun vehicles to drive, and easily in my top10 vehicles of all time;

Yep. By an absolute mile!

For all these that rave about the Transporters (which are very good - and car like!) you really need to experience a long wheel base Sprinter on a wet roundabout. Even the most common 311 - 110hp version has more than enough to have huge lurid slides in!

For more fun I'm sure they do one 200+hp

Another point is that vans tend to be very expensive to insure.

Worth checking that out.
Very true. We bought our T5 as a bog standard panel van and insurance was significantly higher cost than anything else I've owned - it was also difficult finding an insurer who'd take us on. But then we had it converted to a campervan: tripled the insured value of the vehicle but insurance premium was halved - seen as a far lower risk.

You could give the car park a quick tidy up with your broomstick...

Surely the correct answer to "why vans rock" is "because you've pulled"...

Picture of my brothers transit, it's very possible someone might say this is chavvy but I couldn't possibly comment. What I do know is that the suspension means it can get under the barrier at the tip, which is useful!

I like a modified van, it's nothing new either, I believe it was very popular in the States during the 70s:

I spent a couple of years driving smallish vans - mostly Connects but I had a Caddy for a week and it was like getting a Rolls after having Fords all your life.

Thought had gone into the cabin, materials were much better, things didn't break off, there were places to clip and hook things in the back - it was a nice drive too.

I'd have a slightly pimped Caddy as a daily driver in a heartbeat - cages for the dogs in the back, seats in the front and a set of these

Every time I read Caddy I think of something rather better:
