But, you know, it saves them money! Once they have done 600 000 miles, replaced the batteries twice, it's all free miles from there!

And finally we had to ask him about the Lotus partnership with Swizz Beatz. Sorry, but we just don’t get it…. “It’s because it’s not meant for this part of the world, it’s meant for the US,” Bahar said unapologetically. “What our tie-up with him has done in three to four months is incredible. Our products are in many music videos, we have designed five really, really very good looking chrome-coloured cars and we’ve sold five of them for a silly price, and all through him. It’s a different world.” I laughed when I read this, the Swizzle Stick GTE isn't even road legal here in the US and will never be . So Lotus have painted 5 cars for the blingsters to use in videos. What a joke. No one in the US wants the crap this BS artist is sellin.... Bye Bye Lotus.

I'm liking everything about Lotus right now. I also like the fact that I could buy a (probably get a great deal too) Lotus Exige next year and not have to worry about a model replacement until 2015. I think Lotus should use 'GTO' for their GT3 beater. Ferrari won't mind.

“There is one powertrain, with two configurations. One is hybrid and the sporting variants are non-hybrid.
Sporting variants??? I thought all Lotus cars were supposed to be 'sports' variants? Is this leading to an SUV or something as well now?

I don't understand these "city cars" I know that manufacturers need to lower emissions and s t but why do they have to build ugly and tall boxes. Why not squash it down a little and widen it a bit like a smaller scirocco/brera? Keep it as a hybrid, make it 750kg and give it 100hp. Offer 3 trim levels: Basic, Touring and sport.

Problem is that a scirocco and a brera are pretty "big" cars compared to these boxes. Taller cars means more room for the legs/engine/... If you want to look at a modern, small configuration which is also low/sporty, look at the MX5, one of the key points of the MX5 has always been: as small as current regs allow us to make it. It's just that when you put people lower, the legs go forward, and the engine has to go forward as well. MX5: 4M, 107: 3,4M.

Lotus building green cars! No, think about this the Tesla all electric car is quicker to 60 than the car its based on. Clearly these will be real sports cars. That's what Lotus has always done and should always do.
As to the super mini, it will sell. Who believed BMW would own Mini or Mercedes would build a car small than a Ford KA. Both happen.

I really hope Lotus get the new Esprit into the next Bond movie. Probably a little late for that, but seeing a Lotus in a Bond film would be nice

Better if their city car was more along the lines of a Cappuccino than a Smart. I wonder if there's a market for a single seater city car
