Some opinions on here use less logic and reasoning. I'd never heard of a Saturn Ion, but 4-door coupes are pretty popular now, ahead of its time?

No one will beat this. Choice of two the Indian-built Tata Gurkha or Tata Safari.

Indian build quality in the mid 90s was not very good.

Also another Indian classic, the City Rover. Dreadful.

Finally Peugeot 205 Gentry (GTI) 1.9 Auto, all wrong.

No.89 Ferrari 612 Scag !!!

One of the most ill researched bits of old trollop Ive had the misfortune of reading.
The pics seem to be photocopied from old magazines as well.
They didn't even mention the Beetle!

Perhaps this should be in the 'other' thread?
"68. 1987 Sterling 825: Rebadged Rover 800-Series was based on the V6-powered Acura Legend, but was unreliable and rust-prone anyhow. Paint hardly even stuck to it and the electrics lasted a few weeks if you were lucky."

Actually I am off to cross post yikes

I wonder if it is as US based as it looks, as including a Rover and a Reliant is quite unusual.

Clearly the journo has no clue.

94. atom. Worst car? how? I'd prefer a Caterham, but the Atom is still quite a unique and interesting thing (if you take out copycats like MEV etc).
90. Saleen s7. Clearly this journo has no ears.
89. Fezza 612. Really? 89th worst car ever made?
66. Smart fortwo. Bloody spastic journo. It's a city car. ffs.
62. Corvair. Possibly the most badly designed heap of ste ever to disgrace consumers. It was deadly. ALL of the bove are worse than the corvair?
40. Piss boiling now. Skipped far too many that deserve a rant, but the Elan, terrible? It inspired a generation of gamers, ffs. Plus, they're not that bad.

In fact sod it, I'm skipping to the comments bit, see what the yanks make of this shiote.

This list just proves that the writer of the article in fact knows about zero about car history nor appreciates anything approaching fun. You lost all credibility when you knock a 1917 Chevrolet V8 for having merely 36hp. You might note that the vast majority of cars in that time period barely had 15hp...Chevy's first V8 was actually an incredible achievement for the price point they were aiming towards.

Further, the 1950 Crosley HotShot? Are you even remotely aware that this car and its "welded together engine" which was actually aluminum won at Monte Carlo several times and held a race time record for several years?

Edmunds has lost any and all credibility when it comes to automotive knowledge.
Ahh, that explains everything. noel fking edmonds. Should have known.

Some nice cars over there, some are truly great. Except AMC's and Aztec. An article like that is the best way to show you're ignorant cretin.
