1) A double barrelled surname
2) He's trying to be another Clarkson
3) He doesn't know a thing about cars.
4) He failed

My two worst:

1973 Morris Marina 1.3, my first car, appalling
Early Vx Vectra, did 2500 miles in under two weeks repping (hire car). Hideous with dangerous handling
Nissan Qashqui - another hire car. All the disadvantages of a small car AND an SUV. TIny boot, small in the back, horrific handling, not even 4WD, why are they so popular?!

Lotus Elan??! All he's done is use the two fact about the car FWD & Isuzu engine and used them against it - obviously never driven one...moron!

AMC pacers are cool. Even our 13 year old thinks so.

Clueless.

That reads like a list of 300bhp/ton's dream cars.

1973 Austin Allegro: Thankfully never exported to America. Underpowered and featuring a problematic "Hydragas" pneumatic suspension, it's the car Top Gear loves to hate.

First off, Hyrdagas isn't pneumatic. Secondly It was probably the best bit of the car! An excellent suspension system if working properly. I admit it required the odd bit of maintenance but rubber seals are cheaper than shocks and springs.

Top Gear doesn't even hate it because at least BL was making an effort. It's the Marina that draws the hate attention and it would have been OK if it had been replaced in '76 instead of hanging on to 1984.

Included one of the early Hyundais.

Those were truly, utterly, horrid. I drove one for a few days. The understeer was bordering on lethal, certainly dangerous if you weren't expecting it. I don't mean at silly speeds either.

Whenever I hear people rattle on about how understeer is "safe" I remember that thing and shudder.

It's obvious it's for Americans as they have to label a lot of the pictures as "pictures" so that they know what they are wink

A "worst car" list not featuring the Citreon C3 or the City Rover? Premise rediculous.

C1 Corvette? Ferrari 612 Scaglietti?

This guy is trying his darndest to make a statement here, and looking like an arse in doing so.
