Those official studio shots do the car no favours at all - wheelbase looks too short and overhangs too long in the pics. Looks much more sleek and elegant (longer and flatter side profile) on the move / in videos - but that front end (and overhang) is way too heavy. Shame.

I don't like the headlights personally, the front looks too high and less aero-dynamic than previous SL models (although I'm sure it's not).

That would be oth other way 'round, no? The SC was created to compete with the SL.

But tbh, it's an ugly car but has aged very well (imho!).
The picture shown looks like a model they produced in 2001, so over 10 years ago.

yea i just think it looks like it, which is not a flattering comparison I don't think. Also those side blade vents will date. Maybe in AMG spec it will look better to me. I don't really like the california cruiser spec SLs anyway.
