I see your anti-road noise stereo and raise you - the v6 engine was designed to be the minimum height so the Legend could have a low bonnet giving good visibility and improving handling, according to a Honda dealer at the time. Park a 5 Series of the era next to a Legend and the BM looks like it is on stilts.I was thinking of these during the Rover 800 SOTW.
I think I'd go with the Legend, the front overhang is quite nice isn't it? It's RWD BMW like in its shortness.
There was one around here with a farty 'sport' back box on it. I'm not sure they work with Autos and seemed to counter the refined, classy image. Why do others need to know you've a V6?
Nice wheel design too, a bit C Class AMG and 6 cylinder XJR/XJ220 like.

Back to the shed itself - I wonder how the business plan works for this dealer? At £400 does he look to take £100, £200 out of the deal? If £200 then he gave the previous owner £200, in which case the previous owner would probably have been as well off scrapping it!

Back on track though that later one looks 'a lot of car' for £595 doesn't it? I nearly brought a coupe a couple of years ago as I do like the shape. Mind you I've owned far too many TR7's so what do I know about good looking cars?!

Yes SOTW! Good call, great car.
I bought one of these about 5 years ago.
It was a last minute purchase to go travelling round France with my ex.
The car had done 180,000 miles and had one owner, paid £200 for it. We then went straight to Spain, then France. Did 3000 faultless miles followed by another 7000 miles back in England over the next year.
Every single thing worked, the self closing doors, auto seatbelts etc.
Silky smooth 3.2 v6 was pokey enough but so smooth you never noticed it.
Then sold it on for £800 a year later. Wish I hadn't really as I don't think I'll ever get a car that will look after me like that again.
So, yeah, great shed of the week PH. Only shame is you didn't pick the coupe..
