I'm sure I've read in insurance documents that if the car is stolen by a member of the family/girlfriend it is not covered as a theft? You better start praying she brings it back in one piece.

You just gave away your car.

In the internet world in which you live when the keys to a vehicle are handed over so is ownership.

Tough.

I'm away to a World of Warcraft seminar, byeeeeee
I see a resemblance between these two..

Not sure why.

If you don't want to be with her any more, call the Police and tell them she took it without consent.
All these crys for "call the police", he gave her the keys and watched her drive away, how on earth is that "taking without consent"!? biggrin

I thought it was the best thing to do to get her not to make me look like a complete tit
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you have failed at that task too.

Any pics?

If she is fit, 27 and single with a nice new car to run about in I'm sure she won't be single for long.

Seems only fair to sort her out with a new relationship after you have given her a car and probably keys to your place.

I suggest you check your sofa cushions when you get home.

by giving her the keys you have permitted her to take the car .. an offence under s143 of the road traffic act. You could be ARRESTED!

go to your house and get the spare key. tbh she'll probably be at the house anyway, stting in your CD cases. Disable the car somehow in a way a woman won't be able to cope with.

Everything I know about the law has been learnt from pistonheads.com and Road Wars

The Mental strikes again. There'll be enough stories like this to fill a book soon - a must-read for all men while they're still young enough to still be in sole possession of all of their money, possessions, DNA, etc.

This happened to a colleague,(over 15yrs ago). He broke up with his girlfriend, who did, indeed, have a tendancy to "The Mental".

He's a nice guy, so told her to use his car till she sorted herself out with something.

Telephones a few weeks later to ask for the car.

"No.You can't have it back"

After a few more increasingly difficult conversations, he went to the police. They weren't interested in the slightest because she had taken it with consent.

He eventually tracked it down, parked at her sister's house. Every single panel keyed with "Miser", "bd" etc. laugh

It was his lease car.

To be fair, if she is kicking and screaming, could it be said that he gave the keys to her under duress? A woman in full fledged mental can cause quite a bit of trouble in a running car, so getting out of the situation is a priority.

Can I ask why she was coming with you to work if she couldn't drive the car home afterwards as she is uninsured? Does she have a car that she is insured on?

Doesn't having multiple accounts constitute a bannable offence? If so can you leave him alive long enough for us to find out just what the juddering fk is going on?
