I gave my girlfriend my car keys this morning and she drove off and left me at work and shouted shes not coming back to pick me up!

I don't know where she is or where she will be going and she has the only set of keys. How should I go about this? I just want the car back, fk her.

I really don't know how I should go about this, thanks in advance for the useful replies

Call police, give them the registration and report it stolen.

If you don't want to be with her any more, call the Police and tell them she took it without consent.

is she insured?

depending on how sacrificable the relationship is, phone police, report for stolen car and driving without insurance

Are you sure she wasn't just joking about not coming back? Have you tried calling her? Seems a very odd situation. Is she your girlfriend, have you just broken up? Why would you think she would just bugger off with the car?

All very odd.

Is she insured on it?

Call police, taken without consent (and uninsured driving if she isnt). I assume she is no longer the girlfriend.

Why did you give her the keys? Surely by giving her the keys you're almost implying that she can use the car?

Maybe she's using the car to go and collect your Christmas present? smile

Quoted in case this turns out to be good.

I strongly suspect Troll or sense of humour failure to be at play though. The schools finished on Friday.

Maybe this should be a sticky thread so people don't keep asking about the same thing (like transferring bloody numberplates).

Prior to all this was a big argument, she is 100% serious, I'm going to text her to confirm she isn't bringing my car back before I ring the police. Although technically it isn't taking without consent since I was silly/nice enough to give her the keys? frown

Have you phoned her or any of her mates?

How old are you both OP?
