I don't generally like the A1 but that looks mega!

Those wheels are immense - they look both retro and futuristic at the same time.

The point of small fun cars is lightweight..I bet that weighs the guts of 1500kg..in which case your compromising space for nothing

the stock a1 comes in at 1150 so at a guess add 200kgs for the 4wd and bigger donkey, so around 1400, not light weight but a lot lighter than the other audis

i assume this will be the same running gear that the polo R gets

A manual 1.4TFSi A1 S-line weighs 1150kg, so with the slightly bigger engine and haldex it'll probably be pushing 1300kg. Still too much though.

edit beaten to it... haldex doesn't add any where near 200kg... wink

you got a bigger lump thou and presumably a bigger gear box to take the extra power

and it will inevitably have more toys and heavier seats, brakes, rims etc

I love the look of this, including those wheels.

I know it's a predictable addition to the line-up but in my opnion its a pretty welcome looking one.

If I was going to spend £30k+ on a LHD import, its certinly not going to be anything without a v8 and the words “mustang“ on the rear wink

That said its still looks awesome

I looks rather good, that.

I'd quite like to see a 'club sport' version, without all of the technological goodies and with some alcantara recaros. Something a little lighter and cheaper.

Those wheels look sweet!

This is the sort of city car I could imagine driving.

S1/RS1 on the way?
