Obnoxious "car" and, as there were no child seats in the rear, an obnoxious driver too?

No photo of rear as I couldn't bear to look at it long enough! What sort of person buys these monstrosities?

vomit

Someone who needs lots of lights but black so stealth is high on the agenda. Someone who needs good ground clearance but also rubber band tyres and big wheels for high performance motoring. Someone who needs a high performance motor but also needs a 4x4..........hmmmmm seen this demographic before. I know ! A Cu*t!

Ok - it is an obnoxious 'look at me' car, but when did P&C spaces require the children to be in a child seat?

Seems like you just don't like the car (fair one) and want to try and find a way of justifying it being in this thread?

This sort of parking is pretty typical at the local health club...

The only reason I can see why wide P&C spaces are required is to give adults sufficient space to open the door fully when putting children into car seats.

But, yes, I would not have noticed the lack of such seats had it not been such an obnoxious 'look at me' car!

They are meant for children who cannot walk unaided.

As a parent??? You probably know the law:
The law requires all children travelling in the front or rear seat of any car, van or goods vehicle must use the correct child car seat until they are either 135 cm in height or 12 years old (which ever they reach first). After this they must use an adult seat belt. There are very few exceptions.
http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/the-law/

I think most people will ditch booster seat before 135cm, but by that age they don't need their hand held to stop them getting run over crossing a busy car park, so the majority of people see no reason to use the spaces any more.

However, there are stiill some sub standard twunts out there.

My assumption, is the guy had no kids and that's what I will think.

This had been parked up the hill from the direction I'm driving all day. Missing a rear window but with lots of tape where one might have been taped in temporarily.

Not sure if it rolled down to this position (I would have expected it to have gone further if so, it's a steep hill) or someone drove it but this just seems and odd place to stop.

Now this one is white and clearly has a chav driving it however it doesn't have a "git" plate but I reckon it is in the post:

Seriously that is ishness of the highest order - bad enough to take up one disabled space but to use TWO?? Good hard punt needed there. A clear winner on st parking thread :-(

O/T but slightly relevant. A few years ago we were flying Sleazyjet, it was a late flight so about 2/3 full. They called parents with children up first and we went up with our seven and two year old. We did chuckle when the couple with their sixteen year old son came up behind us...

Bad parking in Waitrose isn't common but here's one today.

Elsewhere, some git had backed his car partly off his drive, completely obstructing the footpath and grass border, with 2 ft of back end sticking out into the road. I discovered why as I walked out into the road to avoid it and he turned his hose pipe onto it. If he hadn't glared back at me so defiantly I'd have taken a snap of that, too.

or if he'd been a lot smaller

No I'm not, so no I didn't smile

It's a fair point that kids who don't need to use seats probably aren't the most needy of a P&C space. My original point was that I've seen plenty of older kids getting out of cars in a P&C space, so I thought that it was a bit of a leap to make that this particular person didn't have any kids with them, although I would hope that someone with taste like that hasn't managed to breed... biggrin

When you MEN have trouble parking, think about this.

A woman drove up, straight into the space, not even a shunt. So good to see. What is so difficult parking correctly!
