hehe Cheers, Stuart. I promise I won't try and clone him. Well, not until I have finished building my 'retaining cage', anyway.

No need for a cage - he comes supplied with his own Porsche, they say it's impossible for him to get out of them.

You really don't think that can be taken personally? You must be more than a little odd, then.

But hey - prove me wrong.
Dead easy. He has written for Evo. He has the opportunity to drive any car he wants. he SEEMS to embody those things. That is not personal. I don't know the man. I've read a couple of his articles and seen a few of his videos. That is all. That was enough to trigger that nagging doubt in my head.

As I said, I've not had a great deal of exposure to his writings, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so I shall wait and see.

I'm actually surprised at the level at which people seem to have reacted to my posts on this subject. PH usually seems to like a bit of balance (ha!) but in this case 99% of the posts are "Ooh Mr Harris, welcome, Evo won't be the same without you! Can I have your autograph?"

I'm just trying to express that niggling doubt about his appointment that I have in the back of my mind. As I said before, its summed up in three words: "We fear change".

Please, please, please be quiet. Many thanks in advance for your continued co-operation.

Welcome Chris..........

I enjoy your writing and videos, but most of all your drift school I attended years ago in the paddock at Brands Hatch!

Careful olberj I think I hear the noise of a baying mob closing in no doubt with pitchforks and flaming torches to declare you a witch for having a negative or different opinion to the norm.

Mr Harris ran a drift school? I'd pay for that in a heartbeat - let's do one at the next Sunday Service...

The right honorable Mr. Harris is now bigger than Tom Crooze on PH. This is Awesome.

Not any more. Believe it or not I organised the very first one back at Silverstone in about 2003 (I think) with Chris, a load of Caterhams on ballooned remoulds, and a lot of tarmac. Great fun it was too.

Some scary comments on this thread.

I'd like to read more about the 205 XS, if indeed it's still around.

Cheers!

I was sure we were Pistonheads (lower case H) at one point. But I just went to check my BTaP 2002 invitation (yes, I still have it!) and it's definitely PistonHeads so now I feel silly. smile
