Can't grab a photo off this listing for some reason (my stupidness probably)

Anyway, Value:

Late 05 (2nd gen) Outback 3.0, 100k, £3.5k:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-LEGACY-OUTBACK-3-...
Have just forwarded to my Dad - he's got one of these and I fancy buying it off him when he's ready to move on, maybe I should just offer him £3,500 for his right now smile

I've spent large parts of today driving and wondering if driving a car which averages 21 mpg really makes a lot of sense - fortunately all this Merc'y goodness has convinced me that having a barge is still just about sane at the moment. If I had more space and a bigger garage then I'd be in big trouble. Just about convinced myself that spending another grand or so upgrading to the OG 540i isn't that sensible. But that might change by tomorrow.....

On the subject of 5 series:

It's still for sale - http://beta.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

This one's back on Ebay but on a BITN, complete with other E39 in background - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

Cheapish M5, though lousy advert so probably same for car - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

Though not as bad as this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIte...

+ Red Seats
- Bolster wear
- "im relisting this car as just had somebody bought it and when he came to check it over he said its got vanos/chain rattle (car drive spotless without any issues and there is no engine lights on dash etc)" - so no potential for bork there at all.

You can set a "hard" limiter, presumably for when the vehicle is (1) equipped with winter tyres with a speed rating lower than its maximum speed or (2) on loan to your son. I can't remember how you do this.
Ineteresting, on the Seven you can only set a "bong" to sound at a particular speed.
Same as on my Saab 9-5 aero. Only used it once though, can't be arsed with it.

Are there some ads only in beta mode?
Can't find this in the old style classifieds:

Curious. All ads on the beta site (apart from dealer feeds) are migrated from the old, so that's an odd one. Thanks for noticing, I'll log it as a bug. That's what the beta is for...

That interior combo always ends up looking a bit manky to me. Well priced otherwise though for a sub 100k 1 owner Touring.
I don't know. I much prefer light colour interiors as they give a feeling of space and are cooler in the summer. The only thing I ended up not really liking about my 530 sport was the black leather interior - it was like climbing into a coal hole.

Could just be someone who has heard about the vanos issues and doesn't know much about M5's. They all rattle on startup, it's just how quickly the rattle goes that is the issue.

What are the chances of this finishing within budget?...

The colour is a bit Marmite, but overall looks quite tidy.

Funny how much the seat colour can affect your impressions of a vehicle. I have a real aversion to the BMW grey leather. Feels like I'm sitting in the 70s or a dusty funeral parlour for some reason.

I'm afraid the colour of the seats in that Volvo has caused my insides to project all over my keyboard.

Light coloured wood and silver not my personal preference but if the miles are genuine, it's got the uprated tensioners and the wings aren't too crusty that could be a good buy. Nice.

I can't believe a trader would undersell a car, though, so I suspect those ifs are what will kill the deal.
