Well, they've finally managed to make it look like a Chrysler. Shame on the Americans.

I have always had a quiet admiration for these because of the old "iron fist in a velvet glove" epithet: Epic wafting with some serious grunt and, apparently, the handling is pretty good too.

500 bhp would still be "adequate", I reckon.

One for the economists. Looks totally removed from the Bentley I love but they no doubt sell more now than ever. (Which is without a doubt the core objective of VAG)
The purist in me would say that eventually the brand will be diluted to the point that it won't stand for anything other than a slight variation from a number of other manufacturers.

Designer versus Accountant.. I'm a designer at heart.

In the classifides there's a couple under £30k. Thats a lot of car for the money. But can you drive one without everyone on here telling ou its a VW in drag??
I even tell people that I drive an upmarket VW. The great thing about this car is that it marries Teutonic quality and reliability with British luxury in a shape which in my eyes is just gorgeous (and I don't even have the slightest interest in football). It's probably because I am a serial offender who also owns a souped up VW Beetle wink

.....and there's a reason why. Warranties from Bentley cost £5k+ a year on the car. When an 8 year old, £140k car breaks.....it ain't cheap to fix!

These are cars that deliver real quality and prestige and will sell to the very wealthiest around the world. This appears to be a much improved version.
Just the sort of product, at least mostly made in Britain , (if foreign owned ), that produces exports, now so desperately needed by UK.

You will need grammar lessons before Bentley will take you on as a copywriter.

Having test driven the new shape and owned the previous, my overall impression, is that I'm still a fan. However, I have to state that I don't like the chrome alloys or the shape of the new new rear light clusters (looks all the design time was rushed towards the rear), but apart from that, magnificent.

Boring, boring, boring...this shape (basic shape - I know there have been numerous facelifts) is looking long in the tooth know. A 'proper' new model is needed me thinks.

Are parts significantly more expensive than the VW Phaeton that it shares a platform with??
