Bravo - for an excellent video, but also, to the Driver/Dick Lovett, for not being a dullard, for not doing a risk assessment, for not bowing to the nanny state.

That was fabulously dangerous and daft, well done for walking on the wild side.

Hope no-body got in too much trouble over this.

And yes, I do think that the lentilists/sensationasists could have a field day.

Screw em. It was brilliant.

No true car enthusiast would turn that opportunity down.

spot on what can they prove from that footage?
People have been convicted by timing the distance between inanimate objects on the road. If they can prove where it was shot, and can find these inanimate objecte i.e road signs then they can prove it. But the camera angles used make this very difficult.

That's why I like it so much.

Think it's dangerous?
Think it's outrageous behaviour?
Think it's irresponsible?
Think someone could have been hurt?

Answered yes to any of the above? Then bks to you.

Love it...that just made me grin from ear to ear! So long as there are F1's on the road, enough petrol left to put in them and ''private tracks with villages going through them'' its all good..
Ps..passed 2 mp-12's earlier heading back through Bramley towards Woking (1 silver,1 graphite grey and they were driving like Miss daisy) Old cars have more fun....

A bit dissapointing really, with a car like that, with massively tall gearing and the limits of the public road, just when you think it's gonna get up and go, you have to brake. Lets see a proper feature at a closed facility where the car can actually get up on the plane so to speak........

Indicators don't appear to work.

Had this not been an F1 I'll wager reactions would not have been so favourable.

Great vid..this wasn't dangerous , I'm guessing the driver was paying attention and not texting/trying to light a fag/arguing with the missus/recovering a lost coin etc etc

Hat off!

This is Andy74B's ?

Through the fact it was in Dick Lovett's showroom I'd presume it's forsale or is it just an over flow car park wink

Very very old video, was just before I got the car. Car now has the cage taken out and seats/harness fitted. Interesting video to post given that I know what speed that must have been!!

If anyone interested, car now having full rebuild to as new spec. Will be back in the summer.

Awesome!!

And as above i was going to mention the obvious speed! biggrin

I recall on another video though the police got some kind of American anaylists involved and they calculated the speed by using the objects you can see them passing in the video or something?

So it is possible to still get prosecuted without the speedo in view!

Sounds absolutely stunning that, incredible car. Not sure I'd be happy with putting the video up though, some naughty overtakes through the village with turnings/houses on the right hand side. Can't believe I actually just said that, I'm going to go and self-harm now.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed a short car-related video as much as I did that one.

Top marks to all involved. PH/Chris - more of this sort of thing please!

Oh my . . . #14R, built for Team Goh ("Team Lark McLaren") for JGTC in 1996, scoring 1 victory before being destroyed in an accident at Sugo. Replaced by refurbished chassis #04R and later converted to a street car.
