But no new info.
Hmm. Wonder if it will actually have that engine, would make more sense to me just to drop in the excellent 1.2 TSI they already have in 105PS/ 6-Speed form.

Like has been said, Citroen et al missed a trick in not turning out a C1 GT in this kind of mold, this looks so like a C1 VTR.

Seems wierd that this tiny hatch, two rungs down from the Golf GTI basically is the same formula as the original Golf GTI, same power output and same weight, nearest you can buy now to a MK1 Golf GTI 1.6, funny how 110 bhp used to be a snorting beast, now its very little in the scheme of things, should be fun though.

Things seem to have quietened down about this car, but that's perhaps what VW wants as they don't want people to have their excitement about this over and done with before they've even announced a date.

Engine is certainly unique, being a 3 cylinder 1.0 turbo, but I'm afraid by the time it comes out it might just be a little too underpowered for me.

Thing I like about its looks is its simple boxy dimensions but it's what's been drawn on the box that gives it a chirpy character. I like it. Someone I know likes the Lupo but hates the Up. I think it's just a matter of the times though. I've seen a few Ups and they look very out of place. In a brilliantly futuristic yet sensible kind of way.

Does anyone know the current status of the Up! GT project?

Some articles from the beginning of the year seemed to suggest it was still due to be produced, but have read a few road tests since that have said it's been halted for cost reasons.

I only really ask as I drove a Skoda Citigo last week and thoroughly enjoyed it, but felt it could do with at least another 20-30 bhp to satisfy more PH tendencies which is exactly what the Up GT was rumoured to have.
