Good shed, not the most fun for the money but all in all a great car.
It's 211 bhp in a rear drive car. What more do you want?

8/10 for me, would have been a 9/10 if it were a manual.

A worth shed imho, great wafters and are pretty pacey, with a good chassis to boot.

No tax included though, if you got 6 months chucked in so it was road legal for a bag, then I'd say its a good buy.

I had a W reg one. Fantastic car. If it wasn't for the fuel I'd have another in a heartbeat. Preferably an estate and in a better colour. Mine was black.
The ad says it's had the cambelt done, mine cost over £600 including fitting and all the neccessary tensioners and so on so that makes a huge difference to it's value. The mechanic who did it said it was bloody awful job and he hoped he never had to do another. The boot was so big if anything slipped to the front (or back depending on you point if view) you practically had to send in a small child to retrieve it. It's one of the few cars I've owned that I didn't get fed up with. I got rid of it because of a strange water leak.

A mate of mine had one about 10 years ago. It was lovely, very comfy and went well- although my MX-5 of similar vintage could keep it honest. I think he'd had it about 18 months when the gearbox went- the cost of a replacement was more than the car was worth and he ended up giving it to the mechanic. Hopefully the 'box in this one is a little more robust!

For some, the fact it's not a German marque cockmobile is a major plus. wink Although that colour is awfull.

I was under the impression that all MV6s had a manual box and that was what the M stood for? I've only ever seen one in the flesh and that was badged 3.0 MV6 on the rear, although I'm aware that the ones police used were not badged like that.

Can someone enlighten me.

But weren't these made in Germany by Opel (and Australia by Holden, and the US by Cadillac)?

I'm surprised no one has kicked off about the uppercase advert.

Did this model ever get a 24v version?

Yes they where. But Opel don't make cockmobiles, as far I'm aware...? Not everyone buys their cars because of a badge. Some refuse to buy certain cars because of a badge, and in this case due to massive depreciation they became very popular.
Need to know the faults with these cars, but they will serve well and do galactic miles, I have had three omegas, the last two being the newer face lift shape though, being honest.

Plod and Taxi drivers aren't stupid. (Mostly biggrin)

Doesn't really set me alight... I've never really craved owning a vauxhaul... Holden maybe but vauxhaul no!

Comfortable cruiser I suppose!
You're probably more of an S line kinda guy, right?

I rememeber Autocar raving about these, if my memory serves I think they gave it the nod in group test which included Mercs and BM's
