DHP offered as an option in the UK
Not really a tip but I'm often asked what the LS400 DHP or Dynamic handling pack is (my car has it) this was offered as an option in the UK only as far as I know and it was a dealer applied upgrade to include.
Spring compression rate + 10%
Height -10mm all round
Rear anti roll bar + 1mm to aid turn in
17 inch wheels
Tyros Pirelli P Zero 245/50x17
Making the ride firmer than a standard car. The looks better in my opinion mainly due to the 17 inch wheels, the originals a rather bland. There is a noticeable compromise in comfort you know about the bumps and pot holes but not really too bad

Ment to ask Garlick, why was only one worn?
When I bought the car the alignment was way out....really, really out. One tyre had been added to the rear fairly recently before I bought it, and that still remains in good order. Two were shot and one was worn about 50%.I replaced the two fronts when I had a four-wheel alignment done and that left the one old tyre which was serviceable at the time.
Bit annoying that I now have three ages of the same tyre on the car, but at the time I couldn't afford to replace them all at once.
Got you now. The reason I asked is, I have come across uneven tyre wear on many LS's before, especially London driven cars and it was always down to alignment issues and tyres were replaced without an alignment being carried out. So, now your alignment is right and all the tyres are good - the way to have it.
Keep up the posts on the car as I would consider another one when I sort our current car(s) situation.
