Firstly, let me state that I absolutely love the C6. It's an awesome car and doesn't deserve to fail as a product.
The problem though is that unless Citroen are prepared to invest in their larger cars (including improving customer service), they are doomed to failure with every single large car venture - in this country at least.
One comment though: I thought diesels were supposed to be cheaper to run! The 2.7HDi is in the top tax band and drinks like it's on a stag weekend!

As an Avantime owner, this is definitely top of my next car list. Sadly its nowhere near the top of my wifes list, so unless i can wear her down, our beloved Avantime will be replaced by a very boring BMW535... So i am forced to consider if a C6 is worth divorcing the wife over... Do you think its reasonable?

Love the styling, still staggered how little room in the rear given the size of the thing, Would still have a 3.0 V6 in black at the drop of a hat

Oh I meant the wife I saw an Avantime a while ago in Oxford. Looks much nicer in the flesh, it really stood out.

The wife is reasonably good condition - especially for her age, has only one owner, has never been raced and i checked the chassis recently and there are no signs of rust....

Can't believe some of you like this merdemobile... I like the way you don't list what car you drive so we can't see what turd it is What the hell has that got to do with anything? This kind of remark keeps coming up more and more round here lately. Do I need a Ferrari before I can call a Trabant crap...?

Can't believe some of you like this merdemobile... Au contraire! Mayfield registers, in parts, in the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation as being among the top 15% deprived areas in Scotland. But there is a C6 in there - all gorgeous in deep metallic red. It looks great in the flesh, particularly from the rear. Perhaps Citroen should lease them at a realistic rate and then sell them on through dealerships to get some control over the residuals.

I was in a Citroen dealership when the C6 launched. I was looking at MPVs but didn't get one after the test drive but I remarked to the salesman what a gorgeous looking car the C6 was and that it reminded me of my old CX.
"Don't bother with that until it's at least two years old sir because the depreciation is terrible" was his reply.

Citroen certainly did aim it toe to toe at the German rivals. Do you remember all the marketing to somehow prove it was more German than the Reichstag? Probably backfired and made people think of buying Audis, BMWs and Mercs instead.
