Why do supercars -
be it Bugatti, Mercedes, Aston Martin, etc. -
have to have PEUGEOT-like dashboards?!

That sort of MELTING SLIPPING-DOWN SLUG-shaped console
instead of something business-like
such as in a Jag E type,
a Ferrari 250GTO 1964,
Lancia Thema 8.32...
I'd even DARE to mention Pontiac Firebird, Opel Manta... (sorry, but frankly all cars are becoming so stoggy).

As well as having headlights seeming to lighten more the SKY than the road!

Driven one?

I didn't find it dull at all.

Another Aston that is trying too hard.

I would be just as happy with a Jag XK and a whole pocket full of change.

I don't think my DB9 interior looks anything like a Peugeot one:

You're kidding George, they look EXACTLY the same!

It's got a wheel and some vents and buttons and everything, just like yours.

Why does 'your' DB9 have a number plate with different initials to your name?

1 6DH is much cheaper than 1 GDH. I haven't spaced it illegally is all.

" - that come with an extra diamond-crisp finish: the seven-coat paint job is given a 25-hour hand polish, resulting in unbelievable lustre and gloss".

What!!!???

You mean that if I pay well north of £100k for a "standard" DB9 it comes with orange peel paint?

This comes close to taking the yellow fluid.

Don't get me wrong ... I would REALLY love to own a DB9 variant ..... but Aston seem to be descending into something more akin to what you would expect from mainstream manufacturers ... releasing "limited" editions that are little more than the standard car with a few questionable "additions".

Oh ... and the wheels are awful.

Rant over

Even though the Italians and the Germans have moved the game on, this is still one of the prettiest cars out there.

Any DBS would do for me, thanks!

And if it were a Volante in BRG with tan leather, I would be particularly grateful...

Silver with graphite wheels, dark leather interior and carbon fibre anywhere they wish to sprinkle it.
Pretty please AM.
I will supply smiles and schoolboy antics.

Not sure my recent letter to 'Jim in order to - fix it' will get a response?

Yep, and it wasn't nearly as exciting as the Ferrari I drove the same day. I'm sure AML management reckon they can keep peddling evolutions of a tired product based on the looks and Bond connection for a wee while longer yet.....

Lots of car companies do that, AML are hardly the worst offenders either. Look at Lamborghini with the Gallardo.

So far there has been:

Gallardo
SE
Spyder
Nera
Superleggara
LP560-4
LP560-4 Spyder
LP550-2 Balboni
LP570-4 Superleggara
LP570-4 Performante
LP560-4 Bicolore
LP560-4 Tricolore
LP570-4 Blanc Pain edition
LP570-4 Singapore edition
LP550-4 Super Trofeo Stradale
LP550-2 Spyder

Makes Aston look almost conservative with their special editions!

The DB9 shape is a lovely design classic but eight years on I've become a bit bored of see them. I think I need them to go off the radar a bit a become slightly retro before I can really start to enjoy looking at them again.
