Could you explain further? The hydraulically suspended car obviously has to allow for the tyres to be able to move up under the arches. It's set up for track work, absolutely. I wouldn't have my road car that low. On track that will work really well. It's on coilovers so is easy enough to raise up if being used on the road.The way it looks though, like you mentioned, with the arch gap the same all the way round and the offset of the wheels and the tyre sizing, it flows and looks like a car. A car with a purpose, a useable, functioning tool.
If you go beyond this, to the extreme and beyond it, then it stops being a functioning tool and becomes an ornament and to get to that situation where it is so low it needs to detract from what makes it look good in the first place. The wheels go in board, the arch gap disappears completely and the already fat bumpers now become even more pronounced and moo moo like.
I'm stuck as to why that looks good and was hoping someone could tell me. I hate writing things off for no good reason if it was simply a case of me missing something.
That thing that people find so awesome about it, seems to be pretty hard for them to put down in words.

Watch some touring cars, wheels tucked up in arches, stupid camber, it's all there.

I like my cars to sit reasonably low, not so low they can't be driven but think generally most cars look a bit better when they sit a bit lower than they came out the factory, obviously there are many examples when straight from the factory a car sits nicely but more often than not a bit of a drop can make an improvement (IMO of course)
It's pretty simple really. If you think of something that is really stable (like a limpet), you think low and wide. A lower centre of gravity is better for handling. The wheels being further apart and the body sitting lower in relation to them makes the car look more stable. Sporty(ish):
