RE: Chris Harris video: BMW M5 vs Nissan GT-R

Interesting points about the interiors- I don't own either but I have sat in both and I've got to say I disagree. Whilst its true that the BMW has better quality materials I still reckon the gtr is the better place to sit. The m5 is massive, hardly feels like a sporting place to be, the styling of the interior is very dull and the dials whilst clear to reead are so bland... Great engine but sitting in it left me cold, i think i would get very bored with it. Gtr on the other hand, always thought it looked awkward in pictures but IRL the inside makes perfect sense when you actually sit in it- very driver focussed, love the sloping side windows and the paddles are nicely made. Just feels more fun!
Very nice indeed, though it's a shame you now have to pretend all driving on the road is done in 'comfort mode' at 40mph.
Contrary to the 'M5 vs GTR tests are invalid' society, this showed the can be compared and now I understand why i'd have the M5. Though, having spent plenty of time in the V10 I think, perhaps, it might not be as special.

Does anybody else think those red seats in the M5 look HORRENDOUS? Way too flabby and I also never think an interior looks premium when the steering wheel is a completely different colour to the seats..clearly not bespoke in any way. The new Boxster does better for far less money and I'm sure many others do too.
Also while I'm at it 2 tonnes is a joke. Doesn't "M" stand for motorsport? It must be truck racing! Only motorsport I can think of with 2 tonne vehicles. Anybody else have suggestions?

Don't know if I agree with the "now it's £70k it's supercar money" quote - In a decade the mid engined Ferrari has gone from a little over £100k to £170k. The money goalposts have shifted quite a lot... Even a base 911 has thrown another £10k on the pile.
Not really a fan of either though. I'm sure the GTR is mighty impressive, but it just doesn't interest me. No noise no care.
