EFA wink

Allegedly.

It was on the internet, it must be true.

LMAO i was thinking exactly the same thing as GMH23 but didn't say anything, due to not wanting the owner of that stunning RS thinking i was making a point to denigrate his car.

Personally i want to meet the owner shake his hand, dribble on thebonnet and then consider forcibly getting my tax money back from the local RBS branch and buying one lol.

I also notice the deep dish wheels and stretched tyres right up in the arches (i am awaiting the character who kept saying the line were all wrong Ober something or other to have a pop here too but i am sure he won't).
You can't see a whole world of difference between the respective cars?
I suspect that OlberJ would jump at a chance to have this car.

In the owners blog that the owner of this car made he outlined clearly why the modifications were made with up and down sides.

A few, on/over the limit laps of Brands GP circuit - including getting back to the paddock in one piece - cemented the ClioV6 MK1 as one of my all time favourite FUN cars of all time bar none. Complete rubbish in so many ways but still, to me, a 'great' car. Of course I also remember doing a complete 360 on the standing water (at very modest speed) at 2am on the M3 one dark and stormy night.................

Well at least there's some consistency here. If you like the challenge of driving a tricky car then it makes sense that you enjoy all tricky handling cars.

The bit I don't get is that most 911 drivers wouldn't go near a Mk1 Tuscan with a barge pole on the grounds that it's 'edgy' or 'twitchy'. Surely a 'challenge' is a challenge. What's so special about the 911s tricky handling?

Dan?

DAN!

(glad somebody got that!)

Can't believe Ravon resisted the opportunity to swing a handbag at me? Are you alright old chap?
I've had loads of Porsches over the years but only two TVRs. There's a reason for that.................... and it's got nothing to do with handling lol.

Still happy to thrash any TVR of course - great fun. But not to own one.

No, it is from much experience.
Latterly getting into a Lotus Evora demonstrator. The carpets were soaked as it rained the night before, the glovebox cover fell off when i pushed the release button and some self tapping screws were falling out of the window frames.

So your saying that Lotus's should come with a sticker on the box that say 90% RTR (Ready to Run) and you have to put the other 10% together, like the R/C cars I used to buy when I was a kid. And yet, this fact would still never put me off from buying one. I somehow would enjoy fixing it.

How does a post that's meant to be celebrating a 911 end up slagging Lotus?

frown

Is it not enough to love porsches? must you despise british sports cars too?

Is it not enough that porsche is a runaway global success to the point of ubiquity?

Lotus couldn't be less of a threat to porsche's world domination.

must you revel in the demise of one of the few small companies left who make cars for those seeking an alternative?

I have a fairly low opinion of porsche owners as it is, but you have managed to sink even further down in my estimation.

If a Lotus fell to bits at least it can be fixed. I don't think there's a cure for what's wrong with you lot.

The Pits, has it not dawned on you yet, that where ever you post, it always comes down to you slagging Porsche owners, who always inevitably end up slagging Lotus. It's actually you that does the damage. but each to their own, it clearly gives you pleasure and you obviously have time to kill.

I didn't bother responding to your last baiting, if you will excuse the weak parody from your industry "because your ( not ) worth it "

Thanks.

Steady on chap. Bit schizo aren't you lol. I mean, if you'd seen me in my Elise you say I was a 'good egg', probably the same in my Landie, TVR and maybe even AM. But you'd have a low opinion of me in say my last GT3 - and I'm guessing you'd postively hate me in the Fezza!! Now come on, make up your mind. Generalisations eh?

All meant in good spirit.
