And this is good because??????
Nothing beyond what the local chavs in their saxo's with the handbrake on get up to every night.
GTR's being 4wd and this allows people who run drag cars to warm the rear tires before runs? Nothing beyond what the local chavs in their saxo's with the handbrake on get up to every night.
Its nice to see tuners pushing new models and developing new parts for them.

Why, the car has more than enough power anyway to worry every supercar, acceleration is awesome and top end speed is 200, so why bother tuning? Wasted effort.
As for the burnout, so what, dull as dishwater.
Because people enjoy tuning cars?As for the burnout, so what, dull as dishwater.
Agree with the burnout though.
I understand the tuning aspect and people's desire to do so, I was just thinking that I could not see the point of tuning a GTR. Supras, older Skylines, etc, yes I can see the point but in this occasion, no.
However, I suppose that if they have done this for a marketing campaign then there is benefit as the GTR attracts attention in that world anyway?

Why do people do burnouts,I mean whats the point?
Yes I know the tyres have to be warm for that standing start thing, but seriously the rubber on these cars are not cheap.
The stress on the diff and propshaft can't be doing the car any favours.
I know these cars are expensive to run, so why the abuse?

Plus if you're used to building say 1000bhp supras etc. A GTR is going to feel slow when you drive it off the forecourt

You'd think it'd be pointless tuning an Enzo, but it's been done. However, I suppose that if they have done this for a marketing campaign then there is benefit as the GTR attracts attention in that world anyway?

I don't think you can really question why people do it, as 'tuning' cars is not exactly a new pastime...
When cars were woefully underpowered. How much is enough? Turning an ultra fast car into an ultra fast car with no more noticeable speed or acceleration. cannot see the point.Well I know this would not be to every ones taste (im not a fan of the looks at all too) but this car is SVM's DEMO car and gets lots of attention and magazine time etc.
As for tuning an already fast car, you can never have enough power! lol... Pushing the limits with tuning makes parts cheaper and more widely available and now the GTR has been pushed to 1200+ bhp the cheaper more common 650R conversions are the norm now!

im not sure why but the constant blipping of the throttle really really really really annoys me >
a dramatic squat-into-the-rear-suspension-slightly-sideways-smokey-leaving-elevens-behind burnout as you pull away (ie, old school yank muscle style) appeals to my inner child, but just sitting there spinning the wheels? nope.
car is cool though, in a rice rocket/drift/YO! kinda way :P

I just don't get it. I'm all up for tuning, pretty much everyone on here is, but taking a great car, making it look like baby sick, taking a main feature off it then filming a rubbish burn out just seems totally pointless/pathetic to me.a dramatic squat-into-the-rear-suspension-slightly-sideways-smokey-leaving-elevens-behind burnout as you pull away (ie, old school yank muscle style) appeals to my inner child, but just sitting there spinning the wheels? nope.
