I agree that a few bits seem to be missing, non-standard wheels for example. Most of the GTI body and interior parts seem present to me, enough to suggest it is what it's claimed to be. Not too worry though, I've absolutely no interest in proceeding with it! Just seemed the best local sub £1k motor.

Nice find! I had a black 2.0 TS previously, decent motor.

I imagine it's probably due a cambelt (water pump and variator can need doing at the same time though you'd hope not at this mileage).

Now I had 577 (yes, really) to choose from. So many in fact that I ended up searching by most expensive first. Quite a few I'd drive to work, but I've plumped for this thing on the basis of it having had recent work and I've never had one before.

Bit tatty, and almost qualifies for the Bad Parking thread.

Was discussed briefly in the thread - I think with relation to a car for yourself.

My questions are with ref to the lights - front has ambers which would unlikely have been standard and rears look aftermarket - how /why?
Those wheels were apparently an option but most commonly found on E46 - spec sheet from BMW will confirm. Other than that, it looks in OK condition if with short MOT.
