very nice indeed - on the face of it I'd take a punt on that.I'm not 100% up on my Pork spec but arnt they S2 wheels too? I thought at that age they were still sitting on cookie-cutters?
Be intersting to see what it fetches.

I wonder if a non-vanos 2.8 with a 2.5 inlet would fit?
It would, I think, but rarely done because you only gain 5 BHP for the 2.7L over the 2.5L. The 2.7 head is used for big power turbo builds as it increases the cylinder size when fitted to the turbo bottom end (and new forged conrods e.t.c.). Liquid Knight said:
Good morning/afternoon/evening I have just put a cheque in my bank account from Her Majesties Revenue and Customs for overpaid Tax three and four years ago. This means I have have £750 to buy a classic. I'd prefer something tax exempt as I'd like to avoid the DVLA as much as possible. I love MGB's but also really like pop up lights and Fiats so the X-1/9 is in my cross hairs as well. I don't mind doing work on cars either so a worth while "project" can be considered as well.
My neighbour has an X1/9 for sale but way above your £750 budgethttp://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C244182
Advertised for £3K but he would probably accept £2.5K

Decent chap, waited 7 months for winning bidder not to turn up before relisting.
Also, "body work was done by me/my lad" so no worries there, although "son put fibre glass crap on it then just pained over it "plonker"" so then again.
Do like the dash'n'trim.

Series Landy?
I'm six two and had a go in my mates 88' a few months ago. I could steer with my knees and had to sit with my head at a thirty degree angle. Apart from that it was slow smelly and handled like a horse on a frozen lake. Brilliant. garycat said:

bit of a curve ball although im a petrol head myself
750 wont buy you much & you will end up spending out on it once you have got something
spend the money on a decent second hand mountain bike from ebay you will be able to pick up a very high quality bike which would have cost twice that much from new.
Trek, Marin, Scott, Specialised etc are some of the top brands to consider.
all have qualtiy components that will last.
get out with your mates early on a sat or sun morning & before you know it you have done 25 miles in a few hrs. makes you feel great & you burnt off a few thousand caleries.
weathers getting better & clocks change soon as well so even more reaseon to get out & ride

The description "Drives like a turbo" for that 944 with the 8v 160 BHP engine translates to me as "I've driven this as hard as it will go to make people think I have a turbo".
I read that as keyword spamming. Get the turbo in there so that people looking for a 944 Turbo will see this one too. No different to someone selling a MX5 for example and adding to the title, not an MGF, Z3 etc etc.k60djg said:

I already commute (twenty eight miles a day) on a Specialized Camber Comp with slicks. 750 wont buy you much & you will end up spending out on it once you have got something
