And why couldn't they have made more so I could get one someday?!
They didn't sell in large numbers, which was the deciding factor in limiting the numbers made, in the last year they were for sale in the UK they sold less than 5 IIRC.

2002 NSX Type R, 5000 km
$281,000.

I don't see prices staying this high when the next NSX is released, especially if it comes in Type R guise.

From what I've seen, you're looking at about $50k+ for a clean, manual car worth importing.

horrible wheels!
The wheels are very 90's JDM style, as is the car, hence why i like them.
Tad too big for my taste but the look is spot on.

I'm so sorry;
My spastic iPhone played up and ended up giving the NSX 6/10 instead of 10/10, goddamit!
The only car, realistically, that I covert other than a 964RS.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

The best car I never bought.

All last summer I had a wanted ad in the PH classifieds & never got the right result.

I test drove a stunning low mileage targa with a tubi exhaust that sounded sublime but it wasn't to be unfortunatly, I really wanted a coupe.

Now's the time to buy I'd say-within 5 years these will have jumped in price by a substantial margin & the boat will have sailed. I good 3.0 at give or take 20-odd grand is going to see you a great return just make sure you buy a good one smile

There is very very little scuttle-shake in the targa due to significant stengthening with thicker material..it's therefore heavier than the coupe...

How would you figure out if you've found a good one ? With so few around it's not like you could try a few to get a feel for things.

Nice to know that Honda still feel proud about it though, there's still a web-page for it http://www.honda.co.jp/NSX/ "NS-X Forever" ! And an official refurb plan http://www.honda.co.jp/NSX/refresh-plan/index.html on which some items seem to cost, ummm, a fair bit :-)

Found this load of photos too which are rather cool http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?5491...

A wonderful car. I've been lucky enough to own one for the last 15 months; I've done about 5,000 miles and I love it. The engine note when the VTEC kicks in is to die for. I love the fact that the engine has just the right amount of power - you can use most, if not all, of it most of the time, unlike some modern cars that are just too fast in some ways.

The handling is the perfect antidote to someone who drives 911s a lot, with that sublime feel that comes from a mid mounted engine. The one surprise when I bought my car was how slow the steering is - it requires a lot of turning! But on the plus side it gives great straight line stability and real delicacy mid bend.

The looks are still great, although the overhangs are a bit dated.

Here's the car out in the countryside last summer.

The NSX is low and sleek and you'll be surprise how small it looks parked beside standard cars...

I saw a silver NSX on the back of a car transporter today, reg' E2 NSX. I can't remember the last time I actually saw another one.

Lovely car, mine will be even better when I can work out how to get it running on all six pots again.
