I like the RRS and would happily drive one (in the right colour and the right spec), but prefer the Range Rover proper.
Which like for like is a lot more money. So not sure how it's even worth mentioning??

As for great image, that very much depends on your viewpoint ...
No st Sherlock! Seriously what image based view isn't based on a persons viewpoint?

Just out of interest what do you drive?

Compared to 10 years ago LR is selling a lot more luxury vehicles in a lot more markets in higher quantities. So the market would agree with me, the image is just fine. And why wouldn't it be? I don't understand what you are trying to get at. The RRS is a great vehicle, every bit as capable as a FFRR and with a great image

There is an "image problem" with pretty much every car ever made, it just depends who is casting judgment. The problem with the uk (and I've alluded to this in another evoque thread) is that most people living there can't seem to see beyond the crap they are fed by the English press / media.

If people are buying it because it is aspirational, what is the problem? It is a good product. Those who whinge that it'll never see a drop of mud seem quick to forget that there's as many 911s (ferrari etc) that'll never be driven to their full potential.

I say let em buy new and take the depreciation hit. I'll have one of each down the line.

The evoques I've seen look like tacky plastic sandpit toys, this might actually be an improvement...!

I'd probably opt for a Disco 4 over a Evoque or Sport. I think I just like them more and come across better for an out door lifestylee thing?

Most recently, a Range Rover, a Bristol and a Discovery but I'm not sure why it's relevant to having an opinion.

It was referred to in the post I was replying to if you had bothered to read it.

What insight.

Of course. As above. The Sport however does seem to attract a high proportion of people who want to make them look like a fairground ride.

Did you buy them all new or used?

Looks like a fun motor I'd have one. Should sell well and as I've said on another post it's built in the UK. Good for the economy and we should applaud JLR.

If this is put into production it will sell by the proverbial bucketload (assuming not priced too highly).

With reference to my previous comment assuming it would look rubbish with the roof up, I have now seen the photos and it looks alright with the roof up!
