And the 5 grand deposits they were taking???
They will reimburse them in full, on request.Apparently they are rethinking/improving some key manufacturing processes so the car has been delayed to at least March (Geneva show) 2014, IIRC.
Shame though, as I was looking forward to taking deliver later this year!

Hmm. Would I be right in thinking that this car would be "unstallable"? I'm basing this on the half-remembered belief that electric motors can generate ~100% torque from zero revs, correct? Or is that not right?
I'm trying to imagine what the experience would be of lifting the clutch up on such a torquey motor. Would you just immediately slip the rear wheels ever time you tried to pull away? (Or alternatively completely destroy the clutch in short order...) Does it still have a flywheel to generate some inertia to counteract this?
Either way I'm intrigued.

Electric motors generally do produce maximum torque at zero revs. For this reason, gearboxes aren't generally necessary.
Interesting idea though. I guess it would be like a bike-engined car - very high revving, very low inertia - but with torque low down.
Monochromatic yellow does not suit a Morgan at all. All that torque in a little Morgan does sound like fun; would love to show up to a British car show in that, to see the looks on the faces of the tweed-clad Morgan traditionalists!
Am I the only one amused by the name "Neil Cheeseman"? Could explain the colour choice...
