They have done a perfect job, interior included. I just wish they were bringing it to the US as I would definitely order one. Lotus are moving in the right direction with this car.

Have they said they're not? It would surprise me if they didn't, I think the US is their biggest market for the Evora.

Nice car. I've had 6 Lotus cars over the years, most bought new. I fear that £50k is too much though. £35k and that would likely sell in large numbers and not depreciate.

As does the Golf, 207, Clio........... :sigh:

My issue is still with the backend of this thing, upfront it looks great but from the rear it is a 90's kit car mess.....

Saying that i am a previous Lotus owner and tick the box for wont be in a position to buy one at 60k so what does Lotus care what i think.......

Is it me, or are Lotus turning into Porsche. The new Lotus Exige looks over bloated and heavy, the car seem to have lost allot of what the Exige stands for in the first place.

Lol! Everyone wants a new Lotus for £35k. If they could sell them at a profit for that they would.

"The result is the lingering sense of a Lotus that's been set about by a bunch of flashy Italians ..."

Hmm - Pirelli Trofeos instead of the usual Lotus AO48s might put a little more weight into that thought too...

Like it, but still a product sadly as lacking in my ergonomic requirements as it ever has been... frown

So they've removed the previously removable roof and called it a Roadster. I love these marketing guys, perhaps they'll take off a wheel next and call it the Exige Three-Wheeler?

Exige V6 building at the factory has currently ground to a halt with staff only working 2 days a week. No one even knows if these car's are going to actually hit the garages yet due to the lotus company ownership hanging in the balance.

Fingers crossed they do get made though. That said, the exige is a performance, track-orientated brand so get all that leather and tat out, bare aluminimum and better performance/ focus please wink

So the Exige S Roadster....Lotus 2-seater, minimalist, powerful, dynamic to drive, removable roof....shouldn't this have been called the Elise V6 ?!?!?!
The general assumption seems to be that they are splitting the Exige and Elise into two distinct(ish) models, with the Elise being the "entry level" four-cylinder cars and the Exige the V6s, rather than signifying whether it has a fixed roof or not.
So when Porsche fit the rumoured flat-4 to the Boxster, we should expect to see the new Cayman Roadster hit the market! rolleyes

Looking forward to seeing the Elise Coupe...
