I don't get the hatred for the looks. They look incredible.
Looks like a VX220 on copious amounts of steroids.

Why would anyone in their right mind buy one of these monstrosities?
its not pretty, but thats what people like about them. I dont think Apollo are after the Ferrari or lambo guys and girls. Its a purely function over form sort of car. I love it.

100% function over form car. Not pretty but it has come down decisively on one side of the fence. Like it. Could scare the st out of myself with considerable ease, but like it.

I look forward to the Gumpert 'Drunk Glaswegian'. You have to go into the dealer (if Gumpert have such things) and ask for a ride in an ambulance.

This has been in my lotto dream garage ever since I first laid eyes on it.

I too love the fact that the car stylistas would look at it in disgust.

Its like a size 12 prostitute with huge jugs and a big arse turning up to london fashion week. They'd all bh about her, but we'd all know she could do the business.

That was really crass, apologies....

I do think its a stunning car in its own way. The shot of the blue one for sale on PH at that angle is just....

mmmmm..

next one will surely be the Gumpert Rip Yer bits Off.

This is what half million pound hyper cars are meant to be like. Bonkers. you wont use it everyday so why not! and when you do use it, it scares the b'jeses out of you.

More Please! but next time can it be a different shape? not that i dont like it, but really do you want to have to explain to people when they ask if its an appollo, que the anoraks voice 'its not an appollo actually, its an Enraged'

you will be very much laughed at

Not as quick as a Ferrari F12berlinetta wink
LMAO being Ferrari there figure is probably downhill with a following wind and race fuel on slick tyres.

I remember the figures they quoted for the 458's drag co-efficient were challenged by Ron Dennis and proved to be wrong.

I love it. I'd go one further and call it the Gumpert B A S T A R D, in CAPS. With spaces to avoid the swearing filter smile
Reminds me of a story my Dad told me. Whilst swanning around San Francisco (pretending to work) in the 80's he spied an XJS convertible with the number plate "B O L L O X". The English gent who was driving it was very pleased to find someone who knew what it meant!
My favorite still is 'UB6IB9'

What, an £800K supercar? I can't imagine TVR selling too many of them.

I love these. Never understood the hatred on the looks. Looks like the closest thing to a Group C racer that you can buy for the streets.

Bargain compared to the latest Veyron Pur-Sang/Sang-Noir/Gran-Sport/SuperSport/Gran-Super-Gran-Sport-Faster Edition or whatever the latest one is.

One for the dream car garage.

Will either of those cars be as raw and race-car like as the Apollo though? If you arrive in Casino Square in an F12, you will look like a millionaire playboy. If you arrive in an Apollo, you will look like you've just come from Le Mans.
Err I prefer to look like I came from Le Mans than a millionaire playboy!

No pictures I'm afraid, but I have seen one on the road in Hong Kong (for those that haven't been, this is possibly the most stupid and pointless first world location in which to drive a supercar). I saw it stuck doing a 38 point turn on a mini-roundabout a while back.

Nonetheless, a truly bad ass machine!
Not the best location, but there is fun to be had in a number of places depending on the time of day/night. If you get your hands on a black numberplate, even better. The only thing that isn't fun is parking and, if you are feeling flash, having so few places to pull up outside of.
