When I get handed the keys to something I've never driven before I get a bit excited, I don't think there is anything I wouldn't fancy a go of.

Ooh This is tough! I'd fancy a go at driving almost anything, although most modern hatch/saloon cars leave me pretty uninterested. But it's too easy to make a don't like list of boring, run-of-the-mill shopping trolleys. Harder to make a list of cars you wouldn't bother with that are considered to be good by some... It's also pretty easy to make a list of "want to" cars populated by modern sportscars - Ferrari, Porsche, etc – but they are pretty obvious choices too. I've also resisted the temptation to include one-offs. I mean, who wouldn't want a go in the Pink Panther car, or the Batmobile?
Wanted: Citroen SM Plymouth Roadrunner (with droop-snoot and big rear wing) Lancia Delta Integrale Maserati Bora Mercedes Benz 300SL (the gullwing door one)
Not Wanted: BMW M5 Maybach Lamborghini Diablo Jaguar XJ220 Range Rover Sport

One of my most fun driving experiences was driving a Kia Picanto to the top of Mount Scopelos Funny how the best memories of driving are often nothing to do with the quality of the car. One of my best drives was in a hired Sahin - a Turkish-built rear wheel drive saloon based on a 70s Fiat - down a mountain on the Bozburun peninsula. Twenty miles of tyre-screeching, tail-out, hairpin bend action at about 25mph.

After taking over 30 mins to do the 4 miles to work this morning, I don't want to drive any cars Time to service the bike and pedal to work methinks, or service the legs and run to work.

I thought that was what being a car enthusiast meant? Inclined to agree. I drove a Chrysler PT Cruiser once and I was surprised how enjoyable it was to drive (disclaimer: dynamically, it was terrible, but it was still fun somehow). I expected it to be totally crap, but the fact that you can find this stuff out yourself if you are open-minded is what being a petrolhead is all about.
