I'd have taken the doors off if I'd had anywhere to put them! Much better looking and more exciting without... But, literally, there wasn't a spare inch in the cabin.

Can't comment on the space in the footwells with my dainty size 9s but there's nowhere to rest your clutch foot for sure. Didn't strike me as especially tight though, certainly not as bad as a Caterham in that regard.

And I did just about make the fromagerie too - he was just closing up as I screeched up! Was a bit rushed but got some tres vieux an tres forte Comte. You're right about the roads up there too - it's now my default route to the Alps. There was a bit more snow and ice on the roads, mind.

Quick vid clip to follow shortly...

Does anyone know if they have made this bigger in the footwell? It's so ridiculously cramped in the Roadster that anyone with size 12's can't drive one. Even in bare feet I cant drive one.

Been waiting for the V8 to come back but the b*stards still won't make one I fit in. Grrr. wink
In theory yes, Ive been told its 6" wider in the chassis by the Morgan chaps at the show. I certainly felt like I had more room. Ive been told elsewhere however, that its the same size chassis.

Vid clip now added! And, yes, the sound is awful but it at least gives you an authentic impression of how windswept it all was. A more slick effort with Mr Harris on driving detail and Neil Carey behind the lens will follow in due course but it gives you a flavour at least.

Even if I did have a flat cap and a pipe and had just won the lottery it would still be a big fat NO. £8,520 would still be laughable.

This is a new car I really fancy, it's an awful lot of money, and would mean selling some of my exiting fleet . I saw one up at Silverstone last Wednesday, it looked wonderful, but didn't get a chance to have a sit in it as the event was for invited guests. The question for me is, would this be much better than my Caterham CSR ? Clearly there is no contest in terms of engine note, the 2.3 Duratec is a gruff beast, as a big bloke, a little over six foot and a lot of stones, I find the CSR cabin very comfortable, loads of leg and feet room. I've fitted a heater to my car ( it was a Superlight ), and that works a treat, the hood and side screens are far better than I imagined, and the "Softbits for Sevens" half hood is a brilliant quick fit solution to carry with you on iffy days. The worst feature of the car is the awful noise from the differential, which I gather is normal. There is just something about the shape of the Morgan and that big V8 that I find extremely attractive, and I've wanted a +8 since I was a school boy, I remember Mick Jagger turning up to court ( something to do with a Mars Bar ) in a bright orange one ( +8 that is ).

In mine, there was a slot in 'boot' - put the seats forward and you could slip then down in to the boot. I would be surprised if yours has not got it...

I'm using the car currently (see latest blog) and don't know of a boot. Tell me more.....

Take the windows off, put them together, insides facing each other, then put the seats forward and the is a slot / space / hole that runs parallel with the line of the boot, below where the spare tyre would normally sit. The only thing I can think of is the space is not there as you have a larger fuel tank? Great space where I used to keep the tyre gunge and various other bits of crap.

I have read a few times of the 'clever' storage arrangement for the side panels on the new plus 8? I'll ask over at TalkMorgan.
