Help wanted kit car Armoured car
Discussion
Hi I have built this copy of a armoured car it is built on a LDV 3.5 Ton using a separate chassis on top of the LDV s. I am wanting some info on how to change the body type in my log book it is classed as a tipper now. I was in contact with the DVLA before I started this and they told me to just change the body type but what to I dont now so what can I put down for it now? As you can see it is no longer a tipper
You obviously have remarkable energy and considerable resources.
I have been building driving and enjoying Kit Cars for well over forty years. I have built dozens and and driven hundreds over that time.
I am an Accountant by training and profession.
The machinations of the DVLA in variable requirements on registration and IVA requirement from Vosa are complex and subject to individual interpretation locally.
You have a really interesting, indeed, stunning project on here.
I would take advice from anyone who has dealt with such matters BEFORE you contact the authorities. A great deal can be achieved by approaching the issues in the correct way. I have personally seen decisions which were remarkably vexatious and decisions which seemed extremely lenient. A great deal depends on the information you give to the DVLA and Vosa from the start of this process.
Your description and presentation of your case will be pivotal in ensuring relatively easy and simple process through the bureaucracy.
