I keep thinking Ginetta G15 every time I see it - which is no bad thing as they look great.

Good luck to them, seems to be a great car. smile
What the frig is that, that, thing, I hesitate to call it a car, next to the G15.

Looks like one of those pictures you get emailed round at work titled 'Models and Rednecks' or somesuch.

Agree, this is now at least 3 years old - I think it was at Autosport International in January 2009. I guess they haven't sold many in the meantime. I seem to remember an article where there were several decent companies involved design/structure. I quite like it though I doubt it's much more refined than a Caterham.

I really like the styling of this. I've seen one in person, too. It's tiny.

Overall i like it
agree on wheel arch extensions looking like an after thought

does the exposed roll cage/ structure mean your better of wearing a crash helmet?, or risk a nasty accident involving your head in the event of an accident?

as i for one would prefer a roof on any sports car after seeing pictures of elises and caterhams, with their window frames sliced of on crash barriers
least with some roof / structural frame i feel in the event of a nasty accident i wasnt going to loose my head!

Hands up if you're over 6'2" (95% male) and into lightweight sports-cars?
95% of males are over 6'2"??? Where'd you get that one from?
95th percentile height.
95th percentile means 95% of the population are within that range, so for height it would mean 95% are 6'2" or below.

58 plate development car- looks like its had a damn hard life! Seem to remember this appearing in evo many moons ago, similar comments- hopefully the looks are updated and then its a viable alternative!

I sat in the development car a few years ago at the Autosport show. I fitted in very easily, as did one of the lads who is 6' 3", and significantly easier than an Elise / Exige to get in and out of. I had been looking to put my hard earned into one of these, but it all went quiet. I ended up with a 2nd hand Shelsley instead. Great car, but not the same as front engined / rear wheel drive.

It's a Concept Centaur kit car (same Imp engine as the Ginetta), based on the Probe 15, which was built by a couple of ex Marcos guys. It (the Probe 15) featured as the Durango 95 in A Clockwork Orange and has a much lower roof line.

As is always the case with kit cars; they have a design that is a very 60's look. Some marketing muppet thinks it'll be a good idea to modernise.

Marketing muppet doesn't want a complete redesign, just tweaks, designer has little influence.

And you end up with a hotch potch monstrosity like this.

Got to say that I really like this, if I could afford it, would definitely be on the list whenever I have to replace my Westie.

I quite like this. Ugly can be beautiful. I see TVR Tuscan; Ginetta and a bit of Clan Crusader in there. Probably quite civilised compared to my old Atom and unlikely to have more rattles and noise than the Jensen Healey, where the radio is just for looking at over 55.

Jez is a good guy, I helped him out with some parts for the GTC4 about a year ago and he was a gent to deal with. Hope it's a success for him.

So you're not allowed to comment on a cars aesthetics unless you're an award winning car designer yourself? Right..

Love the car (almost perfect) but it isn't pretty and looks are important to many people.

The future looks bright for lighter sporty coupe choices at the more affordable end of the market at the moment.

Of course you're allowed to comment. But if someone came up to me and told me, to my face, that something I had created made them want to vomit then I'd invite them to do better. That's all.
