it's an impressive spec and I think the £70K is about the right figure.Engine – 3.7 litre V6 (3721 cc)

Yes, it will be compared to the Evora, and ignoring personal taste, it starts being almost 400Kg's lighter (makes a joke of Lotus's VVA Ali chassis)

How does the more recent German built Artega GT compare?
Well the decision would be made for me by the fact that the Artega is auto only. It has had good reviews, though. http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/newscenter/New...
maybe its more comparable with the Lotus Evora but then a bit lighter?
I think the Ginetta is more "hardcore"

The Artega is les "hardcore" then the G60, but the ride is very good, maybe to good? anyway the Artega GT has all "helps" onboard...like ABS and ASP (stability control) Aircon and GPS etc.
that really does look like a nice car....But it was easy I must say :-) very smooth shiftings, even in sport mode, a bit to smooth which is good but less involving, but I guess they good adjust it by electronics? it was a 2010 car I drove.
The car fits me like a glove and looks pretty wide, I guess its because its only 4015mm long but 1882mm wide and 1180mm high.
The steering and roadholding etc felt pretty good for what I could feel in that say 30min drive, its a car that you could go fast in almost right away, a more grown up Elise with hardtop type car.
edit, although it had the standard 300hp, the car could easily do with say 400 or more hp by feeling, so it could do with a bit more hp, maybe fit a SC or get more NA out that 3.6 engine.
here their facebook page with lots of pictures>>

but out the box its more a sporty GT car like say the Cayman or the Evora S is I think/guess.
The Ginetta G60 would be more "pure" I guess with what I read and saw in a video.

there is also a thread "driven" from PH so we won't hijack this thread to much.

I wish ginetta well with this, as I still think its a stunning car, almost Peter Stephens-esque in its reluctance to age.
I had my worries when I saw the car at the goodwood fos last year as it simply didn't look finished, development car or not. PR own goal I think as people were literally standing around it comparing it to a kit car, which isn't ideal in a super paddock but is doubly embarrassing when the little morgan 3 wheeler put the pagani's & other exotica in the shade.
& yes panel gaps do matter when you're spending 70 large ones. Simple as.
But, I look forward to more customer cars coming through & some more press coveredge, god knows I think they'll need it. If it drives as good as good as it looks then I'm sure the orders will come

I've definitely spent too long toiling in the garden if I can't recognise someone the post before mine. I'm going to bed. Brownbaron said:
Mine goes alright ....
Hi James, by the way. Sorry I missed that post. Give us a buzz on facebook some time, I think I'm due up your way soon.
It looks to be an attractive car with the design priorities that appeal to me. When I ultimately trade my 2005 997S Cab, it will be for a lighter weight mid-engine car. Since it is a DD, the Boxster will be one end of the range and the Exige at the other. In between would be this Ginetta (if they sell them in the U.S.) or a Rossion. I suspect that the Exige (either a low-mileage S260 or a new S if they sell them in the States) will win, but I will take a close look at this one.
