A nice looking 205gti (1.6 version) went for we'll under SOTW money on eBay last night. Original bar the half leather interior out of the 1.9 and only half an hr away SWMBO said she hates them and wouldn't have it on the drive, sometimes I wonder why I married her.

Also occupying my thoughts today is a ford focus ST with mountune tuning. One passed me while I was walking my dog last night and sounded brilliant. So much so that I'm fighting the urge to drive down to a garage and talk about PX'ing the current car.

My perfect Bugatti seems to be for sale, black on black. Only £5 more expensive than an Enzo as well! biggrin

As I've said before, if you can afford to buy a Veyron, you can afford to run a Veyron. Although some of the part prices are completely ridiculous!

Something unusual yet capable, to deal with the rain and floods forecast tomorrow. I'd actually consider donating a testicle to complete my planned journey in this, instead of a gutless 1.9 N/A diesel. Sigh.

...brilliant, now I'm looking at discoveries, you're a bad influence! The wife wants another dog, wonder if I can convince her we need a 4x4 to ferry them around in?

Back on Listers again today. Wouldn't mind as I've no real interest in most Jags, but can't stop thinking about these for some reason (those wheels too smokin):

Vauxhall VX220

Today has been a long day at work - I have a cold, I am tired and it is raining but fear not! Last time the above came together in one day - I took the girly option of obsessing about a long drive in an Audi Q7 V12 TDI as it had heated everything. Today is different though, I am finding (unsuprisingly) that my learner Megane is not the most engaging car to drive down a great twisty roads nearby so in comes this. I may still have a cold at the end of the journey - but I will be more awake and it would brighten my day up from the fairly grey/crap day I have had. Now I may be a while - I will check the back of my sofa.....

...for that tissue to blow my nose! hehe

MTFU! Colds are for pussies, I have the flu!

Now, while sitting at home I realised my 159 was much nicer than the Lancer, nicer interior, nicer quality, better looks, smarter and the AA men were always a good laugh So I have been obsessing about a 159, preferably a TI in red.
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2012...

At least I can plug an iPod into the Lancer and the Lancer is considerably faster and doesn't sound like a tractor.

I like the VX220 but I am far too tall for one (educated guess), does look fantastic though.

Not a huge fan of the XK driving experience (a bit too comfort-orientated for my liking) but I saw a very tidy series one XK8 yesterday morning and it did look like rather a good way of wafting round.

A quick glance in the classifieds suggests they've actually held their value better than expected.

Shouldn't be a problem then, would make a great first car too if the price is right.

PH95, you do confuse me sometimes. hehe

I do like that idea of a bigger car though, and an Audi would be interesting - unsure on that era though. It looks soo dated and boring and that colour is questionable - B6 Audi A4 shape though, oh yes! biggrin

Speaking of first cars, are you taking your lessons or passing your tests? IIRC you have an angry wasp moped. smile

Well I want one in Burgundy, but this one has low mileage and is in excellent condition, so I'll adjust my preferences.

Just got my motorbike licence so within the next month I'll start learning to drive, but I'm already looking at cars, so if I see a bargain like this, I can just stow it away in the garage for a few months.

Yes, I have a hairdryer, had it since the day after I turned 16 but now I have a full licence I'm looking into an Aprilia RS125, but I occasionally ride my dads Daytona 675.
