Seriously, I won't take *quite* that long but I'm trying to fund a mortgage deposit and a wedding too, so they take priority.
Order one in black, debadge it and avoid unwanted attention from Yoofs or people who want to race you. (No disrespect to you, Kamil. I mean the reverse baseball cap wearing type.)
I'm not a member of the reverse baseball cap wearing gangs, and would refuse to race them in the first place .
This is taking planning ahead to a whole new level. But I've decided on what spec I'd like, Campovolo grey, 17" 205/40 wheels, black Abarth side stripe & black cloth interior. They sound nice enough with the standard exhaust & the Essesse kits would probably have an impact on insurance.

I do wish I had your enthusiasm sometimes kamil - very cool to see and I hope you achieve your goal. Still planning on a Jag for a first car?!
Motorbike for my first year I think, insurance would be around £250 for the year. Then, with a years NCB the insurance on the Jaguar would be a little over a £1k - less than half of what it would be with no NCB at 17.It's the new Citroen C-Elysee.
Before my PH Licence gets revoked, let me just justify myself. I'm living in Spain at the moment, where this thing is built and marketed, and it won't be sold in the UK. It's a proper family-sized wagon for about EUR10k, economical with its small engine and Euro-spec low rolling resistance tyres.
It reminds me of the Peugeot 205 or 309 - small, bluff styling, cheap and basic, meaning it should last a while with minimal maintenance.
Obviously going through a frugal moment in my life.

Nice. I wish I put more thought in my first car process and stuck with an idea. I am now nearly 18, have nearly passed both my tests and still unsure on my first car - it changes daily. Today is a VW Up! which is duller than a dishwasher. With your determination, you will go far...

When the time comes to replace my trusty FWD hatch, I might go for a... trusty FWD estate?
I think Ford are shrewd with this one. People are still downsizing cars and I think this will become the new Octavia VRS estate, if you get my gist. Fun to punt around on your own when you can, reasonable running costs, civilised and roomy enough to carry an IKEA wardrobe when you're need to.

MkI Panda convertible?

Bit of a triggers broom at the moment but well worth restoring in my opinion.

After recently seeing a certain PHer's purchase, I've been mostly wanting an XJR today...
