Audi S5
I see an Audi RS5 every day at work, but I can't put my finger on what I don't like about them. I would prefer an Audi S5, and I would opt for this blue.
Dated, facelift looks a million times better, very nice car though! I see an Audi RS5 every day at work, but I can't put my finger on what I don't like about them. I would prefer an Audi S5, and I would opt for this blue.
Got a fancy for a Supra today!

Just this.Have been thinking about buying one a little bit too much.
Never driven one,so I don't know whether I would be disappointed.

I just LOVE the way the SL Black Series looks... This give me hope...
Edit:
I have had the 1:18 Autoart diecast in this exact color combo for many years and I have never, ever stopped obsessing about it... The car is just epic.

Today? Oh, I'm sure I'll get some flaming for this one. Wrong wheel drive, tarted up Golf etc...
Not this exact car. But my girlfriend and I were wandering past a VW showroom and- in a brilliant example of why I think she's The One - she suggested that we wander inside, since I like drooling over cars and so on.
Ten minutes later, I find myself sat in the driver's seat of a red Scirocco 2.0 with a DSG gearbox. It was only parked up and the salesman was too busy with other customers to prise money out of me that day.
Just as well really. I'm saving up for a Z4 coupé that's a better car in almost any way, and it's cheaper too. I already drive an Octavia vRS so a Scirocco's going to be very similar to any other one of the Golf/Leon/A3 family.
But I had a bad attack of want. Just as well that salesman was busy...
And my girlfriend? She didn't like the lack of reversing view but she did like an Eos. I can partly see the appeal, but don't think I'll end up agreeing to that one though.
I was driving home last night when a dark metallic brown one of those pulled up next to me at a set of lights. It looked great. Not this exact car. It was brown and looked great. Not much can pull that off.
If the driver is reading this and was freaked out by a guy in an Elise staring at you for longer than is comfortable I apologise
It's only 20,000 miles and on a 58 plate... but the bonnet is almost pink rather than red with more paint missing from the bonnet than my 2006 Octavia that's done many more miles...
What are VW colouring their bonnets red with? Crayolla?
I might very well look at a Scirocco but it's put me right off having a red one. It doesn't inspire me abotu the longevity of their paint in other colours either- before I put any of my own cash into one, I'm going to see how high mileage cars in different colours fare first.
(EDIT: There's another red one near me. I'll have a look see to determine whether it's a one off or if it's that particular shade of Scirocco...)

Update on my Scirocco obsession:
Went to see a couple of Sciroccos nearby today. Was straight up with the VW dealers- "Look, no deal today but serious in a few months"- and they were equally nice with me. Let me have a poke around but clearly I wasn't expecting a test drive etc until I was properly ready to buy. (I'm OK with that, I'm sure they get a lot of people wasting their time and I don't intend to add to it.)
What did I learn? The cabin's a nice place to be but maybe a little too similar to my vRS. What I'm keen to find out is whether it drives sufficiently differently to make it worth the change. Time will tell on that score.
I have to say that all three sealers I spoke to were polite and helpful. Two out of the three knew what they were talking about; one didn't... I think I'll stick to the friendly two. They will be getting e-mails from me.
What I also learned is that after seeing two Sciroccos and a Golf R32 in Salsa Red with bonnets in poor condition, I won't be buying one in that colour. Maybe I've seen an unrepresentative sample but I'm particularly concerned about driving a pink car in 3 years. The brown looks awesome in the metal. (I know, I just said that out loud... but it really is.) Nevertheless, I think I'd like a Candy White one please.
To get a sufficiently different experience to my Octavia, I might try out a DSG nearer the time. Clearly they're divisive... but I'm keen to at least try one out now.
Has anyone driven a Scirocco *and* an Octavia vRS? Image and space aside- which are clearly different but not my primary concerns- how did they compare? I'm keen to give one a whirl but reluctant to spend lots on a near-identical driving experience and a smaller boot.
