Yeah, it fits perfectly...I guess you can be forgiven!

I am a massive fan of the Aeromax though.
Me too. I'll miss it hugely - nothing else quite like it, but with a young family it was starting to suck not to be able to share the fun with my kids, and owning a car like that do do 800 miles a year seems daft. Better to let someone else own and enjoy and most importantly... Drive...

Slightly OT but are you the same Axeboy who owned a 6G VR4 over on CVR4?

A day to reminisce on the old crushes, then decide they are present crushes too.

I wonder where the bird is that used to lie across the rear wing dressed in white stocking and suspenders?

Surprisingly less money than I expected for a performance-blue-oval... people havent gone all rose tinted & misty eyed over these yet then?! (I'm not bitter that I passed up the chance to own a MK2 Escort Mexico just before the prices went ballistic, honest!!)

I've been having thoughts of replacing my workhorse with a toy, and I can't stop looking at this:

Met one of these on the road earlier and the driver wanted to have a play, great fun! driving

Can't quite decide when I replace mine whether I'll go for another, an R or Audi S1 scratchchin

I've been obsessing over a stunning Jaguar 2.7 TDVi that was for sale when I phoned up, and twenty minutes later it wasn't.

Live and learn I guess.

To me it's just a 25 year old car that's overpriced, but not quite a classic because they're not special enough. It would have to be utterly spotless to get that money IMO.

It does seem a decent price doesn't it, and it looks to be in good condition. I'd love one of these as a bit of a nostalgic weekend car. I suppose by modern standards it would probably be a pretty basic and agricultural drive, and all the better for it.

Strong price, but if the paintwork is original it may be worth a look. Personally I think the ubiquity of them and the mileage of this particular example make it overpriced, but nevertheless I see the attraction.

Totally agree. The MG is winning for me at the moment though, maybe rarity?
