So what car have you been obsessing about today?? (Vol 2)

Citroen C2 1.6 16v Code
My possible next car. I am really tempted by this little C2. I know that from a PH'er viewpoint, it may seem like a boring hatchback but after seriously considering the 182, I realised that my driving is very rarely on back roads which display the merits of such a car. Normally, my driving is commuting or on the m/way. When I do go to the Peak District, I have a blast in my Fabia with a measly 69bhp so I think I would still enjoy a quick hoon in this. It ain't exactly slow. It also helps that I have always had a soft spot for the range topper too!
A colleague and PH'er laughed when I told him. I reminded him that he sold a modified Mk1 MX5 for a 2014 Kia Rio... Which he got on finance.

That C2 is a nice car, interior looks great; you thought about a Twingo 133 ? or a Swift Sport ?
If I were to get one, it would need to be the range topping 'Code' variant because then you get heated leather seats among other creature comforts. The dash is a typical mid-00's french affair - could be better but isn't drastically bad and it will always be a small 3dr hatchback. I have considered other, more exciting cars (E46 330i, Lexus IS, Honda S2000 etc..) but the C2 is a great all-round package. I'm afraid to say that I view the Twingo in the same regard as the 182. Great, fun car but I wouldn't drive it on the proper roads for the majority of the time. The Swift Sport is meant to be a great car, if the reviews are to be believed but I have always viewed it as a nearly car which admittedly, is probably a bit unfair considering it was Suzuki's first attempt in that sector. Never really floated my boat. I think a test drive is in order!

s1 elise. think it'd be a great little runaround for me. only issue is whether it's worth the money, reckon it'd be £15k to find a decent example. do the LHD conversion and export it.
A "runaround" they are not. Absolute nightmare to get in and out, especially with the roof on.the more i look at s1's the more i want one.

See for me, things like heated leather etc... i don't have interest in hence why my Clio has no A/C, Cloth seats, manual mirrors etc.... The C2 has a decent engine and revs nicely but with the leather and heated seats its too much unnecessary weight IMO. I recon if you drove all 3 you would pick the Swift, its a great car although i would choose a Twingo with the Cup pack because on that particular day when you want to drive the car, you will then realise you made the right choice. Just need to work out how to get to Glasgow and collect her.
I am by no means an expert on anything Fiat but that looks like an astonishingly good buy for the money.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181452287106?ssPageName=...

Having owned one, they are a great little car - very reliable, more engaging than a C2 would be, probably one of the nicest gearboxes I've ever used, good economy and a fun place to sit. The only downside is the lack of a 6th gear for motorway cruising but in reality it's a pretty small price to pay.I loved it, so much so that I managed to persuade my girlfriend to buy it so I can still drive it (oh yes, I'm that good!).
Ultimately, take one for a spin and decide for yourself (I liked it much more than the Twingo 133).
